IIRC, the UK and recently Japan require DRL on all passenger cars. I would expect that any recent RHD passenger car bound for world export does have DRL.

those are first world countries, with even the basic model carrying a feature like that...

here we pay above first world prices for a third world car that they claim is fully loaded

If it was built prior to satisfying market regulations, you may be right. You might be right if it was built for China or Australia.

However, since there are no TTO specific vehicle regulatory requirements, you will only get what is homologated for other, major markets.

I get a fight dong on some old thread here for hating bright lights.I still hate bright lights, strobes and whatever moronic blinding lights people want to put on their vehicles. I break a wheel last week because of some moron and his bright lights coupled with the chicken pox that our roads have been infected with.I say ban then all.

If bright lights bother you a lot you should get an eye test if you never had one done. You might need glasses.

^ Why don't you go stare at some fog lights?
The people that have the bright lights need glasses because clearly they can't see.My vision is just fine the way it is.

did you know that the steps most optometrists use to test peoples eyesight is actually designed to convince them that they need corrective lenses when they actually don't? don't believe it?

go to two different optometrists 3 days apart and seeing if both of them don't tell you that you need glasses but for two entirely different conditions.
the person selling walking sticks will try to convince everyone that they need a walking stick, even the man with no legs.

Put on your high beams and slow down.
And dim them for oncoming traffic.

Change your prescription then

Rain X or similar product applied to your windscreen.
If you on the road by yourself - high beams.
From the time you see any oncoming vehicle or you are following another vehicle - switch to low beam.

If oncoming vehicle doesn't reciprocate with their low beam, return high beam until they get the idea - this worked better when I had my HIDs(it was just very bright with a high beam hotspot to the oncoming driver) or my Honda halogens (it turns on both H4 filaments when you pull the stalk).

I use Autoglym car glass polish because I heard Rain X smears hampering visibility.

He made a mistake and quoted you...I think the response is directed at me.

I ease my problem by getting the other driver to understand that it is difficult to see anything if he/she has their high beam on when approaching oncoming vehicles

RainX doesn't smear for me... It does wash off quickly when you are wiping off the spray from the vehicle ahead of you
