The projections for Florida with Irma and a 7 day interval for another possible hit is quite troubling.
BTW, the system in the gulf is expected to impact first with some serious saturating weather.
Really, the stress levels of residents must be starting to go bonkers.
It seems to me that once we suffer a major threat at the beginning of the season all hell is on the cards for the Gulf states.

Just spoke with an associate in Miami who advised that with the focus for resources going to Texas, the situation if Florida takes a hit is going to be bad.
Presently, supplies of many of the emergency items are either low or unavailable and is pressure to get stocks during the next few days.
The Port Authority will be advising plans for sailings after session tonite.
Hope is that there will be some positive deviation and/or loss of energy.

The trailing system has developed into Tropical Storm Jose.

NHC's website has slowed to a crawl, they probably haven't seen so much traffic in a long time.

Harvey, Irma and Jose

I wonder when was the last last we got 3 consecutive tropical storms. Usually we skip a few letters between major disturbances.

Climate change is a real issue, and those nations emitting the most greenhouse gases do not understand they are making life even more difficult for others.

Just get the people out. Don't even bother to secure anything, just declare a state of emergency, and Evacuate.

If I was trump, I would have sailed a few air craft carriers with helicopters towards the southern east coast, to time the departure/dissipation of Irma. So they could do search and rescue as it becomes ssfe, and use the carriers as shelters.

Omg 185 mph! Irma like she trying to break records oui. Trindad will get blow way with half that speed. My prayers for all those islands now. The eyewall hopefully if it stays off land would mean the wind speed on land would be much lower. Othewise hundreds of thousands go be homeless in 24 hrs.
