Been good with flow for a really long time now but about 2 weeks ago digicel started working the poles & doing installations like mad in bemont & i've started to get disconnects & speed drops.Find it kinda suspect.

Say what as bad as it is here, just imagine places like India they still using dial up there and DSL costs as much as a house and none of it works. So we eh too badly off one time.

Question - I have flows arris modem (old one), when i connect the modem straight to the laptop via ethernet cable, i am getting no internet, however when i run the same cable to my cisco router and then from one of the ciscos router ports, run another cable to my laptop, it works. I would like to know why i cant connect directly to flows modem bypassing the cisco router. Thanks

Flow modem may have the Mac address of the cisco router lodged. Try holding down Flow modem reset for 30 sec to release Mac address . let it boot up with the laptop connected to it, should give an IP to laptop Mac..you would have to do that every time or connect to a router

Has anyone gotten to Change DNS setting in Flow moca router. It takes the setting, but seems to be overridden with Flow DNS

The moca router kinda funny. If you're using your own wireless router DMZ it from the Moca and set your custom DNS on that. Should work. Refer to the post linked on the first page.

I have tried that on both routers . one is DMZ through the Flow but on an unblocker check it would Fail the test.

What test like a DNS check on Netflix ? If it's Netflix they cracked down on most vpns and dns modifiers so it would fail regardless. If it's a porting situation make sure to port forward on our router after you've DMZed it. Remember you have to set your beginning dhcp address allocation pool on the moca router for say 192.168.1.10 for example and then set the static dmz for a number below the range, so 192.168.1.1 static on the modem and router.

The Dns fails when testing on unblocking site test. I haven't changed any settings on the moca, just let it assign a dhcp to the other router then what ever was that Ip I then set it in Dmz

Port 80 is usually blocked from flow's side. For DVR etc I just use 85 and port forward to that
