The real high end shops don't use a mass market roast

OK...so similar decor, similar advertising, similar store layouts/menus, is not similar business model? would you say Truvalu and Tesco aren't the same business model??

Movietowne leases the outlets, the only case Detour have is if the lease agreemetn was broken. if not, suck up, they does have other outlets all over the place. Movietowne is supposed to position itself as a high-end shoping/entertainment place, not a place for clothing stores only grunters go to/work at.
this was not a clothing store

It is Detour Tech, a rebrand of their chain of RadioShack stores.

Is there anything this guy knows?

I know i doh really care about this Detour Tech place....if they breached the agreement, sue, dat is what courts exist for to enforce rules.....

Btw all this talk about business model, it is the same bad service from trinis working there. Trinis employees can destroy any brand.

yep, business model in how a product is made, marketed, produced....,,..i see no fundamental difference between Rituals and Starbucks in this case.

No. Have you ever been to a Tesco? Massy Stores in Trincity Industrial Estate probably, but Tru Valu, no way.

yes, i've been to many. the quality of decor and service differs from place to place, some are good like the big ones near London, or others small and less variety like inner city or high street places.

point i'm making is that rituals and starbucks look alike, sell similar items, and are to same target market, how can anybody say they are not like models?

They were way overpriced under the radioshack brand so 75% discount may not be all that for many items plus keep in mind there is no warranty

On a real though, they could have picked a better name in the rebrand option list. Detour Tech sounds like a sole distributor for Coby electronics and off brand dress clothing. Even the mismatched logo is a fail.

Japs or Royal Castle doh get KFC's revenues, i bet, and will remain minor players in that market for a while, same with Rituals.

that analogy in both wrong and lacks thought, Rituals has many more locations than Starbucks which at the moment has none, Rituals is not a copy, they're a local (and regional) coffee chain, in fact Starbucks is the minority player and they're not an original either just have the best marketing/business model and whilst ppl will patronise either through curiosity, genuine preference etc, it will come down to cost, convenience and location the same thing that apply to fast food here.

Rituals was originally supposed to be Starbucks but they couldn't get the franchise so they went ahead anyway and make a "Starbucks" copy. I though this was common knowledge.

No matter what the prices turn out to be... the wanna be elite/white trinis will pay it just to say that they can.
It will be the new facebook WhatsApp profile pics of trinis.
Trinis will be there more than the Syrian/"Whites" - just like the "VIP" section in movietowne

Nail on Head right there. And I bet coffee will be a lil $50 a cup, and people will be stupid enough to buy it.

That's RIGHT!
All those clubs from the 90's in Trinidad, the nights that the Popular folk were partying was not the main money maker, it was usually the UWI type night that brought in the most CASH where the crowds bought alcohol by the BOTTLES ......................
