Yeah dwg I was taking een d highlights and I taut my eyes was playing tricks on me oui

woddifokisdatsheit

I feel Italy might send Spain home...Spain side have most potential in this whole tourny but they attack weak AF. They missing a Villa like striker.

Torres starting to show his class again...idk why Del Bosque pick Morata who barely making a note for Juve. Can't wait to see Torres in action next season

Fair play to Croatia, counter-attacking football once again destroying tiki-taka I dunno when Spain will get that sheit out their dna...now they dig a hole for themselves with Italy, Germany, France and England in their bracket.

Modric is a sell-out!!!

The quality of Football at the Euros has been mixed with teams playing fairly deep and content on counterattacking on the rare opportunity particularly in these last group games.

Even the football pundits can't predict a winner given that no tram has truly dominated the tournament so far.

On a side note the two best teams in Conmebol defeated the two best teams in Concacaf with a combined 11-0 scoreline over two matches. Concacaf sucks some serious balls right about now.

Dude this is barely tiki taka cuz there's no more Xavi for Spain, no Dani alves etc. and even self how is tiki taka the problem here? If Spain capitalised on their opportunities the scoreline would have been different. Spain was beaten on the flanks and Ramos was a disaster.. also why tf would Ramos kick a penalty?

Can't also blame Modric "telling" the keeper where he would kick it, country before club and Ramos is sheit pkt full stop

And bring on Italy, Germany etc.. allyuh don't find Euro boring enough? Is a set of forking free ride to the finals allyuh Madrid men want right through so?

Agreed but those 2 best teams are both ranked in top 5, Argentina #1. Didn't expect the Mexico thump up from Chile but that US Argentina score was lower than I predicted. Chile and Argentina playing ball now

Iniesta still there and Fabregas still there. Tiki taka is not about one man, its about slow build up play, keeping possession, tiring out the opponent. Croatia played with pace and discipline. Point is Spain will still play the sideways pass, back pass, side pass again, then try a through ball, while Croatia made what two passes on the ball and BOOM, Perisic goal iymc. VDB taking off Nolito for a central mid was mess too. Coach needs to step down after this tournamant, Spain needs a new feeloshofee

Tiki Taka not dead

We demolished in 14-15 with it and yeaaaaars before that and now it dead?
We was going good this season too but the dip in form caught us approaching 40 games unbeaten!

Anyhow the problem with Spain is not tiki taka...it's their attack...Spain have a bomb squad from the midfield go back...like I said is just the attack lacking badly. Torres/Costa shoulda get the call instead of Conerata...even tho Costa is toots in most aspects...infront goal he's lethal AF...again Torres atm more reliable than Morata and all but say what daz Del Bosque call

Spain gonna have to rely on their technical quality in midfield to breakdown Italy...Conte have that side organize tight tight!

And yeah bai mero daz how dem fellas accustom reaching finals...eating up small teams and den beating dey chest...cough like this UCL...It have men who still bawling Madrid is the best club in Europe for this season gone

That 4 best placed 3rd place teams moving ahead in Euro is sheit. It made teams that already qualified pick 2nd string sides for their final matches.........not to mention Portugal didn't win a single match but going through.

Point taken esp in Portugal's case (only team in R16 not to win a game?) but to be fair it's not unheard of for teams that already won the group to make changes in the final group game during the old format.

Also some argue that UEFA has the right to ensure that its members get competitive matches for the Euro (I could be wrong but consider CONMEBOL has no initial phase of qualifying for their regional comp).

And don't forget this format is not something they just made up. If I'm not mistaken, the early stages of the WC carried a similar format.

Top 4 out of the 6 third pace teams. Not confusing at all mate, really good system actually. Willing to bet at least one of these 4 third place teams win a game.

Would have been better if the group stages consisted of 32 teams instead of 24.

Talking about goals this season in the group stages of UCL against Man City and Sevilla. Then domestic cup against Milan as you mentioned. Crucial and big league goals against Milan, and Inter among others. DOh forget that boss of a game against Bayern in the round of 16. One assist and one incorrectly called offiside goal that would have sunk Bayern, then we all know what happened. I could go on and on. My point is he shows up in big imporant games and scores. Forgive him, kinda hard to start infront Mandzukic but when called upon he delivered.

Only 1 of the goals against Real Madrid (1st leg) was a tap in. 2nd leg goal in the Bernabeau was class. Tap ins, no matter how insignificant of a goal it might be or seem, it is still a goal regardless and he managed to do it against top rated opposition. He scored against Atletico Madrid, Dortmund, Real and Barca.

Yea as I actually study the groups and teams, it kinda makes sense... but like chulo said it would have been better with 32 teams.. still shitty how a team could win 0games and still qualify

And lmao @Brotherhood scrolls defending Morata
