Tesla is waiting to come in.
Just the license office and customs have been blocking it for whatever reason.
I was told that even the Min of Finance is confused as to why they preventing it.
So the law?
I dunno.
The reality?
That solar powered and electrical vehicles have been sourced and are awaiting regulatory approval.
Close to a year now.
Tesla loses US$4000 on every unit sold in the US, you really think they wanna set up here?Redman wrote:TriniAutoMart wrote:88sins wrote:fed up of high fuel costs, but still need to drive to do your business?

A Tesla Model S sells for US$76,000. And a price hike is expected
http://www.autoblog.com/2016/03/23/tesl ... ed-for-us/
what will the price of it be in T&T after shipping, duty and vat?
$760,000?
They going to setup a dealership, tool that dealership for service, setup charging points (Superchargers) around T&T etc to sell maybe 20 units a year?

EFFECTIC DESIGNS wrote:Even habit gone quiet yes. Not a man jack PNM talking now. It had like 10 people on this forum that used to abuse everyone who was a UNC. Not one of those 10 talking great is the PNM now.
What happen is nobody could handle the corruption under UNC it was at an all time high, many were upset at the blatant disrespect to the citizens that Kamla showed she proved she was just another Manning. So everybody wanted Rowley the man that go set thing straight, well he setting thing real straight.
The govt already said the purpose of removing the subsidy is to divert it to the Rapid Rail. I am not against a rail, I always supported it. But given the current situation when this subsidy is gone and taxi men start to jack up price remember on every 20 cent them fellas raising fare to $1 eh. And with no other alternative what do people do?
Under UNC they used to run the PTSC bus from Las Lomas to Curepe on mornings, now that shut down permanently. Try traveling with PTSC and you go see pressure. SO they building a RR that gonna take 10 to 20 years and nothing in place for the people in the mean time. People starting to realize it was better UNC remain there and thief and all ah we would ah live. The PNM is operating like a real republican party but problem is they are in a 3rd world country.
No wonder it have a million and one cars for sale these days with "owner leaving" on it. Who smart and could afford to bussing out asap. '
UNC was badly corrupt and they mismanage more than anyother government but under UNC you could ah live. PNM setting thing straight, correct. And people are now realizing what straight and correct really mean, the chaos eh start yet. A massive load of sh!t is slowly but surely creeping up onto that fan and when it hits everybody gonna be brown and ready.

However for the past 4 months I have been working PoS having worked elsewhere in the country all my life. I dreaded the move to PoS. However since we have moved I have been traveling with Maxis on the PBR on most days. My average time to work from leaving home with maxis is 45 mins however on the odd days I drive its 1.5 hrs. On evenings it actually takes the same 45 mins and that includes the wait in City Gate and thing. (I live Tunapuna)
Basically public transport isn't as bad as its made out to be. Most of the Maxis are air conditioned, they are reliable and its much faster than driving.
And I have a fairly brand new Crossover doing 5,200kms at home so I'm not bound by public transport.

but the point was high fuel costs. Yep based on what was said.

How many of the vehicles we seeing on the road here in TnT come out the show room for more than that?
