Jhandis in T&T

Postby intern » October 31st, 2014, 3:37 pm

Hi, I am researching Jhandi colors and what they represent in T&T

I have the following info from an article by Sat Maharaj:
The colour of the jhandi (flag) and the associated diety is as follows: Hanuman (red), Satnarayan (white), Surujnarayan (red), Lakshmi (pink), Durga (yellow), Saraswatie (white), Ganesh (yellow/pink), Krishna (yellow), Shiva (white), Ram (yellow) and Naw Graha (two red, two white).

However he didn't mention all the colors. If you have the info, please tell me the deities represented by other colors including:
black, green, purple, blue, orange

Interesting info here - I've always wanted to know.

Might be a good idea too, for the edification of the Hindu members, to give the virtues of each deity the flags represent - hope I said right.

Why people associate black flags with obeah is beyond me, but at least it keeps the Muslims away.

Someone should put up a black flag on this thread to keep AdamB away then.

Answer my question first.

Remind yuh wife that your marriage is invalid and that everytime she has sex with you she is committing the sin of fornication.

I hope for her sake that you lied and took the shahaadah. Well she pbly know that...how sad!
