I asked the sale rep. For an update this week and got the following response.
"Amarok should be in here in time for our new showroom, which will be in January.
next mth or so we will be ordering fro stock and maybe special ordering"

Its actually a 1.6L and I agree the price is high. Personally I would only purchase that at that price from the firm.
