you tried hard restarting the phone?

also try switching off background app updates in Settings > General

what device are you using? 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 5C?

My fb always crashes. Even before the update.

PS the new image viewer on FB sucks.
once you get more than 2 friends on facebook the app stops crashing and you get the upgraded image viewer 8-)

On the 4s?
Gf has a white 4s on ios7 and no problems at all with whatsapp or springboard. Works perfect.

Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:What about the updated camera:
Updated sensor with larger pixels to shoot better in low light, less grainy
A faster f/2.2 aperture on the lens.
Faster burst mode by holding down the shutter
Slow motion video capture at 120 frames per second
New dual LED Flash (white and amber smart flash)

There's also a new battery that works with the new processor to use less power and it charges quicker too.

ok guys u misinterpreting me, I was comparing ios 7 to ics when I was running it and you apple fanboys were steadily bashing it, I am running jellybean mind you and it is running smooth.

Maybe in a bit apple would fix it, So much for your "all stable os".

iOS 7 is running smooth as well. The 7.02 update that came out a few days ago attended to an unlock screen issue and a Greek keyboard issue - there was no need to address any stability issue.

Just as with Android, even running 4.3 on my Nexus 4, certain apps or combination of apps and settings can cause crashes of the app or the OS on any device.

if you read through the thread here you would see that apps are what are crashing, not necessarily the OS and most likely not on new devices. Keeping in mind that with the release of the new OS, there were also updates by all the major app developers (facebook, twitter etc etc) adding to the possibility of crashes or issues since those apps may now be unstable.

iOS 7 has been available to millions of app developers since June 2013 and was also installed by millions of regular users since June who managed to get their hands on the beta from people with developer accounts. Those who constantly updated to the latest beta as it became available would have seen the OS get to the point of stability before the release. This was not done overnight and in secret.

Do you have any comment on the fact that many Android devices (eg. Samsung S3, S4, Note 2 etc) havent gotten the latest Android version as yet?

I agree but they shoulda post the sales figures of the 5s and lumia 620, i mean iphone 5c separately bcz I believe the 5s had most sales. and also china a new region, but they do have their fan base and brilliant advertising, designing and a solid following/userbase. An amazing device does not equal amazing sales figures. So way to go apple

^ the 5C is colourful just like the iPod Touch (similar form factor to the iPhone and same iOS) that came out in September 2012. The Lumia 620 was announced in December 2012 and went for sale in January 2013.

Image

Apple had colour options for iPod since 2006 and has been making colourful devices since the 90's
Apple adds colour to their phones and suddenly they are copying Nokia lol.

The 5S sold more than the 5C, however the 5C replaces the iPhone 5 which is no longer for sale. It's technically the same device with a plastic colour back - it is therefore expected that sales for a device Apple had already been selling for a year, but now with colour options, would not surpass a new model (5S).

I agree "an amazing device does not equal amazing sales figures". I agree the Lumia 1020 and HTC One are amazing devices, but without a robust supporting eco-system and previously satisfied customers ready to purchase again and again, the sales would be low in comparison. Apple has a robust eco-system and their iPhone customers from since 2007 and growing keep returning to buy Apple's newer items because the customers were pleased with the previous items they bought. It's not rocket science or black magic.

The 2013 report begins: “Every so often, a company changes our lives, not just with its products, but with its ethos. This is why, following Coca-Cola’s 13-year run at the top of Best Global Brands, Interbrand has a new No. 1 — Apple.”

lol what is this nonsense with so called fanboyism,
why do you care if we prefer to buy apple?
i look at phones objectively before buying,
i was originally apprehensive of buying apple as i did not like there mac computers.
The thing that eventually attracted me to an iphone was it's astounding build quality and attention to detail the moment i held it in my hand i could tell it was a premium product and since then i have always come back to the iphone.
i have looked at each iteration of flagship android based devices from each manufacturer if the iphone was to take a turn for the worse against my needs,
then sony's range would be next on my list and then samsung,
the ever increasing screen sizes are a big turn off for me i still like the size of the iphone 4 and 4s the most, my 5 once i got used to it turned out nice aswell.
realistically they are phones and they must be phones first if it does not fit in my pocket it is no longer a phone.
i also do not like the cheap plastic feel of the samsung range.
