Nobody ever stopped to think the parents didn't listen to the doctors, one can get that feeling from the article where the father expresses his distrust and mentioned something about all kinda medicine or sumn. They were telling the doctors what not to do. They sounded like they knew more than the doctors.
But alas talknah society would want to attack the doctors.
Pretty sure there's MUCH more to this story which the express would never publish. Let's hope newsday exposes them.

Where's the proof?
Hospital records would show the treatment prescribed and drugs administered, something which express would never publish.
Does the father have proof he actually acquired the medication? 5 days later the thumb goes black then you decide to return?
Not even ah phone call self to say something not right?...seein he knows so much...
