my younger bro has used matchsticks to clean his ears before.
Ears are basically 'self-cleaning'...when u chew, it lets the wax come out on its own...u might not even notice it. Ever felt that tickling sensation in ur ear sometimes? thats the wax...Thank God i've never had an issue with hardening before but, as we age, it will become tougher for the ears to clean itself that way.

How does this work exactly? After u put the drops in ur ear, how do u get the wax out? Dat pointy looking thing does blast it out with air or something?

I will update later

To sum it up, you put a few drops in your ear, lay down for about 10 mins let the drops work. You will hear it pop n crackle, that's the oxygen activating and loosening the wax. When you do both ears, fill the rubber bulb with warm water then squueze it into your ear and immediately suck back out the water/loosened wax with the bulb. Repeat the flush a few times until you're happy that the ear is clean. Repeat for second ear.

Enjoy your replenished hearing capabilities.

The same can be done much safer with hydrogen peroxide

i'm sure too much intense cleaning can lead to unnecessary problems.

I've realized in-ear headphones cause a build up of wax too

I see this in depth cleaning as unnecessary. When I go swimming or shower I'm certain excess ear wax washes out on its own. Ear wax serves a purpose in your ear
