I have to get some new tires.

In some tests it felt better than it actually was performing, but overall, Geswein noted it was "soft and imprecise" and didn't "feel like a sport tire."
taken from caranddriver.com. running these tyres about 2 weeks now and agree completely with their analysis.

I currently have SPT and still have very great things to say about it, but since the price increase I don't think I can justify it.
Considered Maxxis MA-Z1?

i have 205/60/13 sumitomo htr200 on my car an its over 2 yrs now i have dem and it works great. car is a daily driver goin from penal to point lisas almost every day and sometimes goin up to POS and grande. i pressure my tyres to 28-30 psi and align and camber every 6 mths and these tyres have approximately 50%life remaining. i had paid $430 for one but the price now is $500 per tyre.

The MA-Z1 is not holding up on the track. The side blocks are eating away.
Take a look at the tires after 3 runs.

on a side note, im looking for 205/40/17 (OEM tyre size for my car) not interested in chinese brands and not so much a fan of DZ101 (had these- in my casr poor in the wet) or HTR2s... $3000 per single Michelin and $1800 BF a little out of my price range what suggestions you guys have, where sells them and whats the usual price range?
I've tried that SP9000 and for a high performance summer tyre, it was not at all impressive. It is better than the DZ101 (almost anything isskibz wrote:Try tyre clinic and they check for Dunlop sp9000. It's not the best but it's better than the dz101
