some businesses would have needed to get things delivered today. just because the govt say 'holiday' doesn't mean trinidad stop working. it just means that some people get overtime and others have to double pay their workers. others have to rearrange their schedules.
one good thing, the roads a lot more clear than it would have been.

Don't you think those countries probably accustomed to winning medals so it was just another Olympic games for them?
Let's be realistic here, for example, you cannot expect the U.S.A to give 40+ holidays for the gold medals they have won for the Olympics.

It is different with us. This is our first gold medal in 36 years. First medal in a field event, youngest Olympian for T&T to medal, better yet a gold. The one gold medals means more to us than 40 means to the US. The same goes for Grenada. The one medal they have won means alot to them.

OK people , motorcade just passed ... for as far as the eye can see lots of police cars on both lanes with sirens, strobes etc... lots of black , heavily tinted suv's and lots of police in black and blue.
Also about 3 helicopters flying over... I feel safe for now
