I always had a ting for the evo v and the vi...but my most favourable is the evo ix.
It has a mean look but yet luxurious at the same time, i'm pleased how mitsu merged the MIVEC technology with standard evo engine and the increase in psi ie. 20PSI of boost due to an advanced ECU and a highly upgraded exhaust system that allows it to reach 286hp and 289lb-ft of torque...whoo! that's just AMAZING.

And it also comes with Sounds, Sunroof and Leather. A front and a rear Limited Slip Differential and an upgraded suspension with precise sensitive steering, i'd gotta to go with the IX MR. A beast with superb handling and a great mileage of 19mpg...that ain't bad at all.

Yup I got PBG 7776 about 3½ years ago. Retired as daily driver (in storage nearly 6 months.)
PBG 7776 will be back in late 2008 or 2009 (I hope) as a Weekend Warrior / Solodex Novice
when $$$ and TIME permit. ($$$ REAL scarce... TWO sets of University fees FIRST!)
Evo upgrade = forged rebuild w/ EvoGREEN turbo, Water-Meth Injection, ProFlex coil-overs etc.

Evo being replaced by current project... 4wd 1800 GSR-to-Evo 6 TME clone. (with "2.1 turns" RS
steering-rack... lower TME suspension & Brembos... "10.5" turbo etc. etc. Full OEM conversion!)
Image
DIY EVERYTHING! on this one... including Bodywork & Painting.

I want the clone and Evo 6 to look identical to each other when both are done. :D

Evolution VI TME! ...

I too fell in love with the Evo after seeing the IV at Diamond motors. I Idolized the V and thought the VI was just a pretty V until the TOMMI came about and that was it!

If I wanted company in the Garage for the TME It would have to be a IX MR FQ400 ...

evo 6............hands down!

and to boot, this car clearrred out an evo9 mrfq 320 in a top gear around the track challenge.

2000 model evo with 276 hp, puttin licks on a 2005 320hp beast!!! the 6 surely is teh best evo ever created!

the X looks spectacular, but no big jump in performance, they just increased the horsepower cuz the X is heavier to make up for the weight, how sad.........no props there for the X...

From the evo 1-3, did all models came 1.8L or some came 2.0L?

^ ^ ^ All Evos are 2.0L. Two versions (4G63) engine built. Gen 1 = E1-3 / Gen 2 = E4-9.
The 1.8 turbo (4G93) only came in the 4wd GSRs.

My $0.02¢
