I am sure that what I am about to say is NOT how you meant it, but here goes.
As in any group, Islam has good representatives and bad representatives. Whenever religion and politics mix ,there will always be problems.Take the example of when European nations had no separation of Church and State. The western world can not generally separate Arab from Muslim. Bias due to ignorance,but bias nonetheless.
That being said, as long as there are people like Zakir Naik and Ummar Abdullah at the forefront of Islam, non Muslims are not going to have a good perception of Islam.The bigotry attempts to masquerade itself as piety which fools the simple minded sheep. You will see numerous examples of wannabe 'Islamic freedom fighters ' on the rise. There are no examples of Muslims being good towards non Muslims for the sake of being fellow humans being highlighted anywhere.
All in all, bad marketing on the part of Muslims, especially when the large media worldwide is against them.
Question, Have you ever seen humanitarian aid being rendered to non Muslims by Pakistan, Afghanistan etc?

My dad is Muslim,my mom is Hindu.Hindus accepted my Muslim heritage, Muslims did not accept my Hindu heritage.Let's start there for bigotry.
