massy materstroke is to have them 1-day sales. donno what it will have tomorrow, so go fast and get it if you need it
https://massystorestt.com/massy-savings/

last time they had them $40 haagen daz sale, was close to expiry and the flavours that nobody does normally buy. idk if the popular flavours was already sell out by that time

nah they don’t be close to expiry
the ones i got today were expiring in october

but you does have to pick the ones that have no frost on them
the ones with frost would have been exposed to higher temps or freezer door kept open long
and can melt slightly then freeze back and get ice crystal texture

when i went today some greedy ladies took several and they had door open for a long time trying to decide what other flavours to take

The only real problem with massy is local produce - massy is not good with local produce at all. Even if you squint and look sideways, that section need improvement. Foreign produce or the local bourgeoise hydroponic stuff are well stocked though.

Massy also open a new fast food section inside that doing well. The pizzas for $70 not bad, different taste to the typical fast food pizzas. Ready in 3 minutes so you could order before you cash then run back and pick it up.
You not wrong, but I noticed, since 2018 or so, I was staying central, and the grocery prices were very overpriced, contrasting them to south groceries, and it never changed, honestly. When moo FC, for example, 9.00 in South/ Princes Town stores, chase village had two large groceries, and they were both 12.99, and Massy in mid centre had same for 13.99. comparably, Massy had some stuff for between.25-2.20 more than just across in price club supermarket

Twice a year mum used to go Hilo; for Easter and Xmas shopping and I was the helper. She went for the "exotic" stuff that other groceries locally never had. This was maybe 1993-98 and ting. She always pointed out some regular things were not cents but dollars more.

Years we had to put up with nestle substandard reconstituted, hardly ever saw whole milk except for, Hilo/ Massy and in glass bottles/ more expensive imported stuff. Now that ghany bringing real whole milk alyuh (nestle) realising people want ah lil quality? Stay right dey. For me, anyway, that's why.

I remember those days, my father would always get a bunch of HiLo vouchers because he worked for Massy, I had to go along too, all the IGA products, and things you didn't normally see in Naipaul's. Even the air inside HiLo smelled different. Those were the days.

Is it normal for grocery chains to vary prices dependent on location? Just noticed Blue Waters 5 Gal at Southern Food Baskets on Coffee Street is $30 but its $40 at the Gulf View Link Road Location.

Partner, you need to get over this massy stores obsession. its just a grocery.
There are many illegal Guyanese like yourself living in the Pasea area, and none of them, unlike you, believes massy is some exclusive club catering to the upperclass and is something to aspire to.
It’s a chain store, not a country club. its free entry. Just buy what you, need, leave and don't go in and stare at the displays et al if you too broke to buy anything.

O skont boddy Dogg,

You still park up in Massy carpark watching to see who going in and out and buying what?

Yuh cant be toting where people choose to shop and spend their hard earned money.

Massy creates a good environment i.e - parking, convenience, quality and customer service etc. It’s the best grocery in T&T and even though prices are on the higher side, they have their loyal customers. And yes, it’s free entry to anyone, but the wajang crowd is controlled creating a more pleasant and harass free shopping experience.

One day bro, when you stop ketching your ass and the angry suffering stop, you will realize where i coming from. It’s easy to tell you in a position because every post about Massy is like you get triggered. Yuh hadda work on that.

I went Massy this morning and brought 18 lbs of paw paw. at $1.60 /lb. Cost me about $30.00.

Normal Massy price $9. / lb.

Sign said the sale was for Saturday only but I went real early and played stupid and got through.

I do not like papaya but the family loves it so great deal.

Market was selling papaya at $4. / lb this morning.

Massy does not lose out on anything. The pawpaw may have been a loss leader but they would have made it up by pricing something else much higher.
