these numbers are crazy considering it's in a 14" laptop

Apple M4 Max is apparently the first consumer chip to break the 4000 barrier for single core performance

Apple better find some way to make a big change in next year's models in everything else, screen, keyboard, form factor or something cause the M5 gonna be pointless speed - is just a numbers game now
Unless by then the Ai gonna need it.

Seems the M4 Mac Mini has replaceable SSD storage like the Mac Studio - probably requires special NAND chips too

Guys - has everything with bmobile e-sims been sorted for it to function fully without issue on the iPhone? Last I heard there were some issues with activating iMessage and such with it (specifically bmobile). Admittedly that was some time back but I stopped following that discussion as I figured bmobile will take forever to sort it out.

Is that still the case? Want to know if it makes sense to buy a phone off Apple US site.

I've used bmobile esim and foreign esim with no issues on an iPhone 13 Pro
the phone currently has a physical sim and a bmobile esim - no issues except I have two voicenote notifications that refuse to go away

Normal occurrence, sometimes it takes a day or 2 to come back online and sometimes it does activate instantly

tried all that and still nothing, deleted the esim, re-added it, updated my phone, erased all content and settings, did a full on restore, i even called bmobile and had them re-set my SMS settings (since imessage uses some OTP service to activate itself) and bmobile is as clueless as always, what i did tho was contacted them (868-824-8788) and had them raise a ticket to their technical team, which then was transferred to the engineering team, so yea, nothing works unfortunately, i’ve done everything…my number doesn’t even show up in settings > phone > “my number”

have you called bmobile and had them raise a ticket about the issue? i recommend that you do tbh, because the more complaints they get, the faster they’ll resolve the issue. i’ve called apple about it and everything’s fine on their end (as with the email since the email is able to activate for imessage) i recommend giving them a call tho (bmobile 868-824-8788)

Is TSTT Bmobile an official iPhone carrier ? If not nothing much anyone there can do right. We will just be along for the ride I guess. TSTT will get carrier updates late.

Any luck with reactivating your local number with iMessage? I recently traveled and used a data sim, my TT number had to be reactivated when I got back to Trinidad over a week ago, and it’s still unable to activate with iMessage / FaceTime.

My phone number is actually showing up in my cellular settings, so that’s not the issue.

I called bmobile tonight and all they did was refresh my SMS account settings but it’s still Just not activating .

no, it is very strange
i unlinked my phone number in icloud then linked it back and was able to get a sms message to authenticate but still does not work even though it received that sms from apple abroad.

my number is on a physical sim
i even tried putting the sim in an android phone but still would not receive from abroad
note in the iphone settings they explicitly state this problem and point fingers at the carrier

still nothing, but do you get the “activation unsuccessful” error? or it just keeps loading circle just keeps spinning? tbh i’m calling like 2 times a week for an update, some agents told me there’s nothing they can do and begin pointing fingers at apple (when it’s obvious they’re not responsible for the issue) whereas some other agents kept escalating the issue to an IT department, they are aware of it but…idk man, it seems like they refuse to cooperate with apple, becuz the last update i got on my ticket was on december 10th where the IT department said to try a whole bunch of troubleshooting steps, which ofc didn’t work, it’s the basics really - turn off/on imessage, reboot, ensure that you’re phone number is active (like ??), and to even contact apple support, so ofc apple told me that the carrier is the issue here as we did everything, factory reset, restored, updated, signed out of icloud, used a diff apple ID, used a diff phone number (on bmobile) etc, nothing worked. so i’m like, these agents are either clearly untrained or just don’t gaf, anyway — has anyone got a fix to it? bmobile also told me some people got it fixed, so i’m wondering…if that’s another lie…

Yes it just spins trying to activate my number but it times out and says “activation unsuccessful”

I spoke to my tstt corp account manager who said she has the same issue and then she said that digicel has the same issue (can anyone confirm this?)

I just spoke to Apple again and they’re saying this is a carrier issue so we are basically stuck.

Apple technician actually googled the issue while on the phone with me and saw the complaints on Apple forums with bmobile.

He said that if I can get a case ID from bmobile, then I can call into Apple and they may have some leverage to try to resolve with the carrier.

So I recommend everyone start calling into bmobile and then contact Apple once you have your ticket ID

fr Digicel having the same issue?? thats strange... I saw that forum that apple guy was speaking off tho, its this here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/25 ... ortBy=rank

yea this issue is kinda widespread at this point, but the thing is, this exact same issue happened last year around august...did you experience it before? I have a case number from bmobile but I didnt know I'd have to call apple again with it.... ill try giving apple a call again tho, but what will apple do with bmobile's case/ticket number?
