Last I heard there were some issues with activating iMessage and such with it (specifically bmobile). Admittedly that was some time back but I stopped following that discussion as I figured bmobile will take forever to sort it out.
Is that still the case? Want to know if it makes sense to buy a phone off Apple US site.

I've used bmobile esim and foreign esim with no issues on an iPhone 13 Pro
the phone currently has a physical sim and a bmobile esim - no issues except I have two voicenote notifications that refuse to go away

Normal occurrence, sometimes it takes a day or 2 to come back online and sometimes it does activate instantly

Thanks. Now also looking back in some other group discussions where I saw the issue mentioned previously and it seems it’s resolved now.

Try updating your carrier settings

have you called bmobile and had them raise a ticket about the issue? i recommend that you do tbh, because the more complaints they get, the faster they’ll resolve the issue. i’ve called apple about it and everything’s fine on their end (as with the email since the email is able to activate for imessage) i recommend giving them a call tho (bmobile 868-824-8788)

Any luck with reactivating your local number with iMessage? I recently traveled and used a data sim, my TT number had to be reactivated when I got back to Trinidad over a week ago, and it’s still unable to activate with iMessage / FaceTime.
My phone number is actually showing up in my cellular settings, so that’s not the issue.
I called bmobile tonight and all they did was refresh my SMS account settings but it’s still Just not activating .

still nothing, but do you get the “activation unsuccessful” error? or it just keeps loading circle just keeps spinning? tbh i’m calling like 2 times a week for an update, some agents told me there’s nothing they can do and begin pointing fingers at apple (when it’s obvious they’re not responsible for the issue) whereas some other agents kept escalating the issue to an IT department, they are aware of it but…idk man, it seems like they refuse to cooperate with apple, becuz the last update i got on my ticket was on december 10th where the IT department said to try a whole bunch of troubleshooting steps, which ofc didn’t work, it’s the basics really - turn off/on imessage, reboot, ensure that you’re phone number is active (like ??), and to even contact apple support, so ofc apple told me that the carrier is the issue here as we did everything, factory reset, restored, updated, signed out of icloud, used a diff apple ID, used a diff phone number (on bmobile) etc, nothing worked. so i’m like, these agents are either clearly untrained or just don’t gaf, anyway — has anyone got a fix to it? bmobile also told me some people got it fixed, so i’m wondering…if that’s another lie…

Yes it just spins trying to activate my number but it times out and says “activation unsuccessful”
I spoke to my tstt corp account manager who said she has the same issue and then she said that digicel has the same issue (can anyone confirm this?)
I just spoke to Apple again and they’re saying this is a carrier issue so we are basically stuck.
Apple technician actually googled the issue while on the phone with me and saw the complaints on Apple forums with bmobile.
He said that if I can get a case ID from bmobile, then I can call into Apple and they may have some leverage to try to resolve with the carrier.
So I recommend everyone start calling into bmobile and then contact Apple once you have your ticket ID
