A Queens man was arrested on charges of sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl on Long Island.

Andrew Ramsaroop, 30, of South Ozone Park, allegedly met the girl via Snapchat, then rendezvoused with her at a playground in Hauppauge where he assaulted her.

Ramsaroop allegedly set the wheels in motion for the heinous act when he met up with the girl at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove on May 13.

At that time, he tried to coax the girl and her friend into his vehicle, but was rebuffed.

The assault occurred later the same day.

Detectives arrested Ramsaroop on Friday night, noting the girl informed a school official about the assault and the school notified the police.

T&T born Ramsaroop was charged with second-degree rape, second-degree criminal sexual act, and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said. Ramsaroop was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.

i see the chinese owned scrap metal yards start back taking regular iron and steel
for many years they were only interested in copper lead and alum

i saw a machine on youtube that cuts off the armour/shielding from the copper cables

so you no longer have to burn the cables to get the copper

just cut the cables into 10 foot or so lengths and run it through the machine
(a small machine that two persons could lift and place in a van tray or on the ground)
and it slicing the shielding and you easily taking out your copper

people probably have it down here

it’s phone lines, those thick cables have a few hundred pairs of thin insulated copper pairs
similar to how network cable has 4 pair inside
that insulation has to be burnt off
scrap yard prefer to weigh pure copper

older heads will remember those phone cables some had about 2 different dozen [some must more too] pretty colors of very thin solid core copper wires , each of them insulated in different colors

yrssss ago in d 80s rural ppl used to cut down ah 20ft to hand make costume jewellery with it, even d school kids used to be making lil rings, armbands , chains etc with it

i feel this was b4 PS time .....

nowadays have fibre optic lines so those old copper cables got obsolete, look like d pipers\scrappers got word that they apparently not using that again so free $$$ for thieves

somewhere i remember seeing copper is $25\lb , i sure d scrap dealers prolly making 2-3 times cud be more too when they get payed for it internationally ...
