older heads will remember those phone cables some had about 2 different dozen [some must more too] pretty colors of very thin solid core copper wires , each of them insulated in different colors

yrssss ago in d 80s rural ppl used to cut down ah 20ft to hand make costume jewellery with it, even d school kids used to be making lil rings, armbands , chains etc with it
i feel this was b4 PS time .....
nowadays have fibre optic lines so those old copper cables got obsolete, look like d pipers\scrappers got word that they apparently not using that again so free $$$ for thieves
somewhere i remember seeing copper is $25\lb , i sure d scrap dealers prolly making 2-3 times cud be more too when they get payed for it internationally ...
