Scorpions are known to give up to three 'dry' stings before giving one with venom. This is why all over the world there are local 'remedies' that 'seem' to work.

For example in Trinidad people would claim eating it, or tamarind seed, or sugar water worked.

Usually was just a dry sting.

Once no early onset of symptoms its usually a dry sting. You are fortunate.

Suppose it gave those 3 dry stings to someone else on the same day. How do you know that the sting you get is not the 4th one?

well snakes aren't poisonous, or else yes, eating them would be a problem. They're venomous. Venom is nature's cocktail of enzymes (which are proteins) that are deadly if they enter the bloodstream before they're denatured. You can even eat/drink snake venom once you have no cuts in your mouth and stomach lining, but injecting it is bad. It really is a bit complicated if you go into deeper details about the structure and role of enzymes compared to poisons which are enzyme inhibitors (but can actually also be proteins!) And then a poison-arrow frog is poison, not venom, but if you touch it you still die.

Yep. There is a difference. The most venomous animal is a species of box jellyfish but the most poisonous is usually the puffer fish.

Venomous animals inject or bite. Poisonous animals actually affect through ingestion or dermal absorption.

I know this for a fact, caught one as a kid and toyed with it a lot before it delivered a shot. Since then I realise these animals arent the monsters people make them out to be.
Did the same with a snake. Had a different experience with a snake of that same species another time. That one actually tried putting some bites on me. It was crossing the road and I blocked the road to help it cross and not get run over.

Poor Mr. Snek. He was sensing the heat from the man's body and struck. Snake brains are very tiny and reptilian which means rigid and compulsive reactions to stimulus. They only have that striking instinct when they are hungry or afraid. It looked like just a scare "attack." Which is why snakes and alligators, etc. make bad pets where human believe that the animal recognizes/knows them, cares about them, or has any feelings for them. They make good pets if humans understand this reptilian behaviour.

Trying to figure it out,easy to say a 'false coral'.

There's a burrowing one with similar colour scheme but the red and black switching places,could be a colour variation.

Location ?

Thats a first...I saw one with a similar make up already...just instead of red...it was white

That’s New Grant. Where my van parked, it was in between the box drain and the neighbors fence. Only glimpsed the movement and then realized what it was. Really small, that’s just regular bush/grass. Didn’t wanna take the chance to hold him because first time I saw this color variation.
