Any short courses anyone could recommend that may be an asset.. I'm already employed.. just looking to gain some more knowledge.. when I say short I mean like up to 1 year..

Wanna learn more on health and safety and/or operations and maintenance of large pumps/equipment..

Anything anybody could recommend?

Try something more along the line of finance and or project management.

If you are already in a technical field specializing may not be the best option in this climate, but project management, maintenance or finance or auditing might make you more versatile.

However if you truly love the technical stuff by all means...

How does a country with oil, Gas, surrounded with other countries with oil and gas, have to start importing fuels?

And we have gas processing plants here

Allow graft to absolutely permeate the industry so as to prevent progress at any level.

our oil is high in sulphur and heavy, not very good for making fuel and we already import oil to make gasoline, diesel etc.

We have natural gas processing plants here, but I don't think we have the amount of gas needed to process, so even that is imported

Natural gas...

Most of those gas processing plants, have desulohorizor vessels. They remove Sulphur from natural gas.

That arrangement will not work for liquids though.

We import oil because we don’t produce enough locally to fill the refinery. It has zero to do with the local crude’s sulphur content or its heaviness. In fact the refinery is configured to desulphurize products made from high sulphur crudes.

nope, if the business model remains and the govt controls price, they will sell to NP and NP will tackle sale and distribution.

At least that's how I understand it
