Same thing I am wondering. Frying requires the cooking medium to reach about 400F. Oil is able to reach that temperature without boiling. Can air reach that temp in the device? is it sealed?

It’s convection like the electric ovens. Courts have them for $1000 too

IT uses a small amount of oil but cycles hot air to achieve the frying

Both are made by Nuwave. One is a convection oven and the other is an air fryer. The insides are a bit different, but both use a fan and heating element

What's the wattage of those units? Compared to a microwave?

It should be more energy efficient when compared to an electric oven, but not sure how economical it might be compared to a normal gas oven.

Because even businesses still use lpg to provide their heat energy and not electric.

So. Might as well just oven fry instead of deep fry.

should be less since oven has bigger heating element aimed at heating a bigger volume.
most of the nuwave older type nuwave ovens use a halogen type heating element
