Those remnants became a cyclone and moved north. Currently a cat 1 hurricane making a loop far east of Bermuda.

Extremely High Winds also was experienced in Piarco area just after 12pm.
Electricity went during these winds just before the rains.
Many areas still without power.
T&TEC emergency phone lines down.

Just got Official info from T&TEC wrt the outages.

The affected areas include..
Toco, Sangre Grande, Arouca, Tunapuna, Caroni, Las Lomas, Mt Dor, Champ Fleurs... just to name a few.

They said Emergency Crews are swamped and not sure when crew will reach certain areas as they are still in Toco/Sangre Grande

It was like a Freak Storm.. even the news mentioned roofs blown off.
Many electricity poles are down in the East due to the extreme high winds.
For the short period of less than an hour, the winds felt stronger than Bret.

Well the weather eased up for a while now. It is just many areas out of electricity.

The Met Office is saying and doing what they always do Not 1 F.
It seems social media in this country is just to talk baccanal and rant about politics. So many areas in the country was affected by the freak weather and without power for more than 9 hrs now, but no reports about it anywhere.
