Yep down there have a serious concentration of snakes and other wildlife, have helped them to cross the road down there many times, mostly 6 foot plus...plenty long Tree Boas too (cascabel)..
The biggest one was crossing right after 'small boats just before Crews Inn road I had to be real animated and loud to get cars to stop, they all were ready to just zip around me and my vehicle without trying to find out what's really going on,thankfully police was passing saw what was going on and assisted with their blue lights, and kept saying "a big fella boy" ..lol..
Man people dunno how blessed this country is,I can tell you where to go see Scarlet macaws too, right on a highway!! Also know a place full of blue and yellows on the North coast, right off the road !!
