Re: Massy Communications Ltd has a new Owner
Dear Valued Customer,
Massy Communications Ltd. (“Massy Communications”) is excited to announce that the company has signed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with TSTT for the sale of 100% of its shares to the local telecommunications giant subject to approval by the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad & Tobago (TATT). The signing of the SPA was announced at a jointly-held press conference on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
In 2015, we began the build out of our initial Fibre To The Home (FTTH) network to select neighbourhoods throughout Trinidad and in February 2016, we launched Massy High Speed Internet and TV to residential consumers. Through local talent and expertise, we created a world class, state-of-the-art fibre optic network, as well as an advanced video offering to service you our valued customers.
Our venture has been a huge success. We are proud of what we have achieved in such a short time. We are constantly being asked “when are we coming to new neighbourhoods”. Expanding our network has been challenging as we have recognized other companies are also deploying fibre optic networks and duplicating the capital expenditure. To continue our growth and to meet the demands of our valued customers, we recognized that we would need to align ourselves with a larger industry player. As such, we entered into discussions to find the most suitable partnership which would enable further growth and expansion for Massy Communications to better meet our customers’ needs now and in the future.
In determining the partnership which would be in the best interest of our customers and the organization, Massy Communications chose to partner with TSTT. This decision was based on an alignment of the values of both companies, who are similarly focused on the development of local talent. There will be no changes to the service you currently receive.
We assure you that the high-quality products and services as well as the exceptional customer service support which we offer, will not be affected by this development. We believe that the combination with TSTT will bring future additional benefits and services and we assure you that you will also continue to enjoy the many value-added features of our service including:
· Accruing Massy points when you pay your bills and redeeming Massy points to pay your bills
· The ease and convenience of paying your bills online and/or at any SurePay locations (including those situated within select Massy Stores locations)
· The wide selection of High Speed internet and TV packages
· More HD content
If you require any further information at this time, please do not hesitate to contact us at 877-HELP (4357).
We wish to take this opportunity to extend heartfelt gratitude to you for supporting us on this journey. Your loyalty and commitment to us helped us to get to this point and helped us to position ourselves to embark on this new growth path.
We are committed to ensuring that this transition is seamless for you, our valued customer and trust that you will continue to remain loyal to this local service which has provided you with the most advanced residential broadband technology and High Definition TV on the market and promises even more in the future.
Kind Regards,
The Massy Communications Team

Why not?
TSTT and Massy broke they can't provide Fiber coverage anywhere near what Digicel is doing. Might aswell join up to compete with Digicel and Flow.
I know what you mean about TSTT service sucking major donkey balls and their $180 a month for 1MB DSL in the year 2017 but let us hope it works out for the best.
I too would prefer to have nothing to do with TSTT except their Bmobile service which I think is really good. Digicel mobile network sucks where I live but Bmobile is A+ connection.
I am still amazed at how the average TSTT customer in this country is still using 1MB DSL in this day and age.
EFFECTIC DESIGNS wrote:^ I did some research on internet pricing and TSTT offering 1MB DSL for $180 is actually worse than the shittiest sh!t holes in the shittiest 4th world countries around the world.
Even the most utterly corrupt sh!t hole countries have better deals than that. 1MB land line internet for $180 AHAHAHAHHA
I paying $195 for 70mb from flow with the gamer package deal I got from GATT forum

ohh y'all thought TSTT was actually performing ae?...
EFFECTIC DESIGNS wrote:It is copper lines I am talking about. Just like the only service Flow has with any coverage is also copper line coaxial.
TSTT doesn't even have that fiber service in Piarco near the Airport where you can already get Flow and Digicel So why would anybody even consider that option?
And no i am not buying a house in Valsayn just to have access to their fiber. The only thing TSTT has that even competes with Flow and Digicel is their DSL so like I say TSTT offers 1MB internet for around $180 which is a joke.
They could have easily offered much better copper DSL packages like everyother country in the world. Ooh and BTW it looks like TSTT upgraded their DSL package from that link you posted, so forgive me I was wrong, its now a WHOPPING 2MB for $180
ummm Yeah... Nah ah go stick with meh 70MB copper line Flow for just $15 more.
