Bible-carrying Female Bandits

POLICE are searching for three women - one who carried a Bible - who allegedly drugged a Chaguanas woman and robbed her of almost $40,000 in cash and jewelry on Wednesday.

The attack happened at around 10.15 a.m. when the three suspects, one with a firearm, held up the victim up at her home.

The 34 year old victim told police that at around 10.15 a.m. the women called out to her outside her outside her house, and she went into the yard to meet them.

She said one of the suspects pointed a firearm at her and ordered her back into the house.

The victim reported that the woman with the Bible in her hand covered her (the victim's) nose with a piece of cloth and she fell unconscious.

The woman said when she regained consciousness around 11.45 a.m. she observed $20,000, and a quantity of gold jewelry missing from her house.

PC Bajan and WPC Carter responded.

Officers of the Crime Scene Investigations Department are also investigating.
