Tings was nice when both competitions was 3-400,000 dollars each. They did start de foolishness with de one million dat faye anne didn't nearly get in 2009, then 2 million in 2011-2015. George Singh change de judging format for CSM so dat people could vote fore de winner. Artists then decided to canvass for votes so in actuality the winner was determined irrespective of his performance. Both soca monarch and chutney soca monarch are not determined by the quality of the song, its determined by the props. Pump yuh flag, probably the nadir of machel's career won because of rocket man, KI win when he bring he pops to play a harmonium last year over RAVI B who can actually sing. I hear shurwayne winchester say live, de song doh matter, just de props. He actually won that year when he bad flex de big gurl., 2010 i think it was groovy. Allyuh admit it, those two competitions underdeveloped soca music big time.

- have competitions
- be creative
