Las Lomas (02-10-16) Two men robbed a security officer of his personal belongings. Unknown to them he was in possession of a firearm. There was an exchange of gunfire where one of the suspects was shot dead. A revolver and a pistol with an extended magazine were recovered at the scene.

Shootout between police and bandits in Deigo Martin, La Puerta! Two bandits were shot dead a short while ago after they attempted to rob a barbershop. An off duty inspector attach to PSB and another police officer who was also in the barbershop was able to foil the robbery. One of the police officers was grazed by a bullet while the inspector was shot in the buttocks, after the smoke died down both bandits were pronounced dead.

Prison Escapee Killed

Just over two months after Sheldon Lendore escaped prison custody, he was shot dead during an alleged shootout with police yesterday.
Police gave little information about Lendore’s death last evening, save to say that he was being pursued by officers shortly after 5 pm in the La Brea District before he was killed in a shootout with them.
Lendore, 37, of Cap-de-Ville, Point Fortin, was in remand after appearing in court on several charges of firearm and robbery offences. Police described him as a dangerous criminal with history of violent crimes and several convictions to his name.
On August 23 Lendore complained of feeling unwell, suffering from light headedness and coughing. He was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital and later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mount Hope. He was then taken for a examination and then admitted to Ward 5 where he was handcuffed.
The prison officer assigned to guard him reported that he escaped the next day with his handcuffs still on. Lendore had not been seen again until yesterday and police believe he chose to return to Point Fortin, where his daughter lives.

Security guard Joel Punnette, 58, died after being shot multiple times by gunmen who attacked like a pack of wolves as he stood inside a snackette in Maturita, Arima.
The bandits later drove off with the delivery van which contained close to $200,000 worth in cigarettes.
Punnette lived at Almond Drive in Enterprise, Chaguanas.
It was reported that at about 8.15 am yesterday, Punnette was inside a shop on Kingdom Drive in Maturita when a car pulled up near the shop and a gunman alighted.
Without warning he opened fire on Punnette who drew his pistol and returned fire. Another gunman entered the fray and shot Punnette numerous times before he and the other bandits retreated and waited nearby. As Punnette slumped to the ground, he still managed to get off some more shots before collapsing and bleeding to death.
The bandits went into the shop, snatched Punnette’s firearm and ordered the delivery van salesman to hand over the keys to the van.
As one bandit drove off in the delivery van, two others got into the getaway car - a black, heavily tinted Honda Civic - and sped off. A report was made to police and a team of officers later visited the scene. Officers are now reviewing CCTV footage which showed the shootout as they continue investigations.
The panel van was later found at the Heights of Guanapo minus the packets of cigarettes.

This was my neighbour and a very good Taylor. He lived at amow street, not almonds drive. Was just rebuilding his house.

This man sew almost all my school pants and my graduation suits. Just today another partner was showing us his suits made by Joel.

He will be sorely missed. Condolences to his wife and daughters. Hope they could finish their house still and hope his daughter could still finish uwi.

I could only imagine their pain. These senseless youths need to disappear off the face of the earth.
