New Vehicle Prices In Trinidad & Tobago

Nice vehicle.. but not at 360k... esp when you throw in Massy's legendary service.
Trunk is kinda small unless you fold down the back seats.

drchaos wrote:Yeah main downside is the size ... an HRV has more space than the Tig.

They trying to get rid of stock for the new Tig. But 360 is the discounted price? I have seen the low end model go for as low as 330 at one point.

Hmmm
When they bringing the new Tiguan ?

What about the Tiguan vs an X1 or Q3 ?

New Tiguan much bigger than the outgoing. Looks more like like an SUV than a raised hatchback now. Not sure how Best Auto gonna price though.. Q3 and X1 already around the 400k price range.
1.4tfsi Q3 was around 350 last year IIRC

No issues with mine so far PCT - 2011 model.
Trunk space well it's not the biggest, but it suits my needs with a baby, not like if you're opening the trunk one day and the trunk space just appears out of no where

Engine has been around for about 3 to 4 years and used in a few other Hyundai/Kia models and have not really read about any major issues.
Main downside I see is the DCT attached to it. Its a dry clutch DCT which a few manufactures have had issues with in the past including VW, Ford and Honda.

Thanks, can you use Super Gas on it?

Thing is that online spec for this engine around the world lists it as using 87 octane which is 91 RON, but I have heard that MASSY recommends premium.

Correct, but also confirmed that using Super will not void warranty.

Think that Q3 might be using the DQ200 7 speed transmission.
So... no

Went to see the new civic, thing looks amazing. Really nice styling and the character lines make it low low and aggressive. Interior is very nice, as you feel wrapped around by the console, seats are very low tho, you fall in and have to climb out.
1.5 Turbo comes with leather and sunroof, LED daytime running lights with halogens in a projector housing, 7 inch touch screen with apple carplay (works) and android auto ( app not avalible yet in T&T) compatability, Leather steering wheel, no cruise control. 16 inch wheels (17 would have been nice).

Car has a CVT but it doesn't feel like one. Only time its a downer is when you try to mash down from a complete stop and you get some lag.

Pricing is 279 (inone) and 275 (cash), there was a 259 price point for the first shipment and if you were a previous honda owner but that has been sold out

At 275 thats really steep for a compact sedan, but then again the leather Jetta was around that price if I am not mistaken.

Q3 uses a six speed wet clutch dsg. Not the dry clutch one with the problems.

Since Audi's styling hasn't changed in nearly a decade I would have to say Hyundai's looking like Audi's now. Tucson and and Elantra both incorporate a huge trapezoidal grille.

Yeah Peter Schreyer is a boss. He's has been with Kia since 2006..(but with audi since the early 80's) but only when he started working alongside Luc Donckerwolke, formerly of the VAG group did the designs start to align themselves.

Everyone say "former design head of Audi is Kia's Design head now" is a bit of a miscalculation. Luc joined his former boss/partner Peter at Kia. And with Hyundai owning a 35% stake in Kia..well..its like VAG... parts and bits are gonna be swapped.

whats interesting is that this is a2006 design:
Image

but only became production in 2010 was it?

I've been going over the Brand guides of Hyundai and VW for marketing 2017 onwards . And its carbon copy now.

Front grill is where most of the changes have occurred but back lights are def different, I think it may be shorter by a few millimeters as well.

Same DQ200 7 speed dry clutch so steer clear even tho it's tempting.

Most of the changes are up front and on the interior... no idea if we getting the digital cockpit.
