Floor routine - not good. She needed around 13.2 to qualify.

Balance beam 13.066 - not bad but given how the 'Mericans are doing, it may not be enough for her to move on.

Dutch cyclist Annamiek van Vleuten crashes.

Annemiek van Vleuten, which had a big crash at 10 km from the finish in the Olympic road race, has a severe concussion and three small fractures gently on her lumbar spine. She must remain 24 hours in intensive care.

Dis Olympics need a bush bath, games not even a week old and people getting level break up

She did slightly better in the test event. And she reached 51 in the commonwealth games. Williams got 52 in the commonwealth games hence she was the original gymnast for the test event. This whole saga just proved to me the incompetence of sports administration in the Caribbean. What the ttgf did was not dissimilar to what the wicb or cycling has been doing for decades, this time they were just given an opportunity

Personally, i would love to know how cats like bovell and carter get motivation for the olympics. Probably its the sponsorship on offer. Cant be wanting to win because half de swimmers doping. The guy who won the 50 free final in 2012 admitted to taking ceatine,a drug banned in the states but not debarred in europe. The guy who won in 08 tested positive in 2011, escaped a ban because fina and the ioc disagreed. Besides the money on offer, it kinda pointless
