adjusting the saw blade depth on the circular saw also helps with kickback, heat build up and just make cuts easier

the only thing with these blades is they make a lot of dust as they cut very fine and cleanly
the crosscut generates a huge amount of fine dust, enough to blow around from one side of the house to the other, these blades will generate as much dust as if you were cutting mdf which is prob the worst when it comes to dust.

use a good car wax on your blades and tablesaw, circular saw base etc
will help any binding

I invested in a cyclone system and dont cut any wood now without dust collection on
you can make one for cheap with a plastic traffic cone, need to have at least a medium size shopvac however.

Buy a sthil. Farfan has everything. Carb kit everything full works.

Check them out a decent amount unit should be 1800ish.

Try to get straight shafts as they work better. I have a Fs85 going in about 5 years. Changed coilpack and a couple small parts. Beautiful machine. Never touched the carb.

Take a look on eBay for "Moore and Wright micrometer". Used and in good shape, maybe TT$500 but I have seen them go for TT$100.

i know quite a few ppl using the black and decker as well i have the porter cable 5"
not sure of the prices locally but pads are cheap but isnt agressive in removing material so buy the rougher to use initially maybe 80 and a couple 120 as a second pass depending on the finish you want

Anybody got this Makita XPH012 Cordless Hammer Driver Drill? Seems like a good buy
Considering getting it for small home jobs/DIY projects.
From what I've read in this thread, power tools seem to be more expensive locally.

I use the Black & Decker 5" RO sander with Mirka sanding discs. It has become one of my most used tools.

you dont need a big set if you have a jig saw and spade bits
a 7-13 piece set should be sufficient but get a set with a case
https://www.amazon.com/PORTER-CABLE-PC3 ... s=hole+saw

i have that set....pretty basic but its really sharp
no case though and i think most of them loss
