POLICE are investigating a report of rape, in which the suspect is a trade union leader.

The alleged victim, an attorney, made a report on Tuesday night at the Port of Spain CID.

Police said the alleged victim claimed that the man raped her at a hotel in Port of Spain on Tuesday.

Police are expected to obtain a medical report from the woman, and question the trade union leader.

Officers of the Port of Span CID are investigating.

PSA leader consults lawyers after rape report

“I will never do it.”
This was the response yesterday from Public Services Association (PSA) president Watson Duke after a woman reported to police that he had sex with her against her will.
Strongly denying the allegation yesterday, Duke said he is seeking advice from his attorneys.
Police are investigating a report that the trade union leader allegedly raped a Cunupia woman on Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency (Trinidad) hotel in Port of Spain.

PSA members should be concerned Duke holds "meetings" in Hyatt hotel rooms. Expense account could very well be abused.
