y12 cvt issues

Postby rishikris » March 23rd, 2016, 4:18 pm

I realize anytime I come to a full stop on an incline I get no immediate or a slowed response from my car when I am ready to drive off. Sometimes it takes a while to get moving while my foot is on the gas and the car is on DRIVE. It happens on like a 35% grade or while going up on the multiple level parking at Movietowne Chaguanas with only 3 people in the car. I am usually afraid to come to a full stop on inclines such as going up San Fernando Hill. Thanks for any advice and info.

The vehicle is a Y12 wingroad with CVT transmission. HR15 engine.

Check fluid level and quality.

It's either your fluid needs replacing or low. Also these cars go into fail safe easily. Which cause a slow take off. It sounds as though the engine is revving but going nowhere until it finally picked up. Also your throttle body and injectors might need proper servicing.
