many people hold on to their older smaller phones cause they dont want to get a larger device.

Plus the HUGE market in China has been showing a demand for the ~4" devices.

worldwide Apple sold over 30 million 4" iPhones in 2015 alone. That's hardly a murmur.

I always said if they made a phone like the new iPod Touch it would be a hit. Size of a 5S but shaped like a 6 and thinner. But I guess it was cheaper to use the 5S chassis than to make a whole new one

A lot of people I know would prefer the 4-inch iPhone. My brother only recently bought the 6S late last year because his 4S finally conk out. But he was hoping for the smaller phone.

I for one could see myself getting the smaller iPad pro because all I really wanted was hand writing recognition with a good palm recognition. Even with the amount of online storage we have now i could easily live with the 32gb.
Price changes are interesting though. iPad mini price is really good.

Phablets were ridiculous in 2013 and they are still ridiculous now. That's why apple is still making new 4 inch iPhones.

WTF. steve jobs is rolling in his grave. hopefully at wwdc the mac lineup can finally be updated to current spec or else rip apple.

Alot of people raging right now. Not just me. Apple is not what it used to be. But who am I kidding, no way I can convince apple's biggest fan of that.

Doesn't matter... Apple is basically unstoppable.

Macbook aside, were there any planned updates to the Macbook Pro line other than updating CPU to current gen - if not, then that's not really much of an upgrade. Performance on the current gen spec is still solid, but I can understand content creators wanting some update to the Mac Pro.

Still LOL @ any iPad Pro as a laptop replacement. But people will still buy... because Apple.
When they can get a version of OS X on an iPad Pro with a touch interface similar to iOS and can run the full array of OS X and iOS apps, then they might be on to something.

haven't touched my laptop since I got the iPad Pro - it depends on what your work entails - my daily workflow is usually in a browser, photoshop, lightroom, mail, word, excel - iPad Pro works perfectly for that if I'm out the office.

I'm mainly a desktop user though, most of my work gets done there.

still cannot replace my 15" macbook pro with an ipad pro though. ios cannot compare to osx.
and I'm not disappointed because i want to upgrade. Im perfectly fine with my 2015 model. Its just that Im worried apple is planning to phase out macbook pros for ipad pros. if that is the case this may be my last computer purchase from them which is a shame because macs are awesome.

check this out. it doesnt look too good.

i believe apple is departing from what made them the company they are today to a company that is run on profits. think back to what happened to apple when steve jobs left before. lol

There always are the usual Apple is doomed posts after a keynote. The funny thing is those types of posters don't ever realize why things really work for Apple. Some things people talk about as issues really are not that important to many other people.

Also many don't get that Apple has a few keynotes per year so it's not like they need to have large blockbuster announcements in all like say an E3 or a major Android event etc.

That buyer's guide has generally been that way for Macs. In fact you can replace that buying guide with any other apple product and it will make sense. Because they don't drop prices it makes sense to buy the item early in the cycle. Later on they become overpriced for what they are and it's best to wait.

Also the Mac roadmaps usually have to align with Intel. If Intel isn't blazing up a storm processor wise usually Apple doesn't do updates as often. Especially with respect to Macbooks and iMacs. I really wouldn't see that roadmap guide as an issue as it just seems like normal Apple roadmaps for the last 4 years.

I'm waiting for the full set of tear downs/reviews of the SE/5s/5.6s (i made that last one up) but I really liking it. The price point is ok for what you get for it and my dad really needs an update from my old 4s. I'm really impressed from the initial reviews that is has almost 50% more battery life than the old 5s and matching, if not better than a 6s.

I will personally always prefer android (I'm really liking the s7 edge) for my device but hands down for the average user, I always tell them if you just want a smartphone that works, go iPhone. I know some 5s users are breathing a sigh of relief that they don't have to step up to the "big phone league."

Also, I didn't see if anyone compared 5s cases to the SE... Do they work together or no?

Cases should work. Body is the same without the matte edges which is only cosmetic

All that drama for kodi which is nowhere near as reliable as Netflix, Hulu, showtime. Even torrents easier. Sorry I would rather pay than use xbmc/kodi again. Very unreliable and frustrating to stream HD content.

The content you would stream using kodi will be available long before it's on those other services.

How long have you been using yours? Been reading about scratches on the SS metal. How does the sapphire hold up?

^ got it about 3 months now.

daily use there are some fine scratches on the stainless steel body and band, you have to really look at it under light to see them

but there are no scratches on the sapphire crystal glass - and that is after i knocked the watch face on the metal door frame a number of times and dropped the watch on concrete once

Ok. Did you purchase online or in person? I'm having a difficult time choosing based on online pics. Space grey looks so different from pic to pic.

Switch bands a lot?

^ I bought it at the Apple Store in Aventura - i wanted to try on a few before I decided.

Initially I wanted the space grey but felt the stainless steel would go better with more bands and more clothes than the space grey would. Most bands have stainless steel connectors anyway.

I change bands fairly often, I have two brown leather bands - one light and one dark. But I mostly wear it with the stainless steel link bracelet band.

My wife has a 38mm stainless steel with the milanese loop. That band is comfortable too but a little effeminate i find
