^Heard lots of good reviews on ribbons but never heard them myself. And it goes up to 40khz Can ppl hear that high? I stop at about 18khz!

I suspect some of it is marketing b.s but I want to hear how clean, smooth, bright or relaxed they are.

Those silver flutes are very surprizing once broken in. I run them fron 80-2000 htz therebout and they perform effortless on all types of music.

I have Dayton/Scanspeak/SB Acoustics (W/M/T) in my car if you want to take a listen.
While drivers are one thing, one should also consider the processing required to treat the car environment and listening position.

Sorry for the late reply. Dont come on tuner much since SQ posts are so few. I use the Vifa's you looked at. They reqire some taming (based on your listening tastes and vehicle acoustics). Mine are crossed very weirdly - 10KHz@12dB (i think). I aim for a fletcher-muson curve and NOT a flat RTA curve.
