Well when I do a speedtest on US Server it dont go above 30mb yet somehow when I downloading something on steam I getting full 60mbps.

So thats the ONLY reason I didn't bother to post a US speedtest. Cause I getting 60mb even though it not showing it on a speedtest. My steam downloads at 7.2MB/S thats 60mbps I reckon.

yeah lets see how long this lasts till the mini disconnects start back.

Hopefully it will be like you where you upgraded to 45MB and it went away. Hopefully..

But this one is the last lap cause Digicel will be in my area from April and the flow rep told me that there is no contract. So if this actually holds up then yeah 60mb for $196 a month? would be a way better deal than Digicel 25mb for $200.

If this eh hold up and it go back to dial up and disconnect well yeah I won't bother with flow further. I already stopped calling to report any problems I just ignore it as my doctor told me to.

Two different frequencies.
Google 2.4 vs 5ghz for an explanation. Use 2.4 for light browsing. 5 for streaming and higher bandwidth.

I can hardly believe it, disconnects are actually gone. Normally by now so I would have had a bunch of disconnects but I have had 0 even downloading I don't get dc. I remember once Friday reached even with my 30MB I would normally be getting dialup speeds all now yet I maxing out full blast not even 1 disconnect? how in the actual firetruck?

Same thing with spitfir so its true upgrading to 45mb and over solves the disconnect after all. And resetting the modem also gives me a new IP aswell. heh I can hardly believe it what a thing.

Blood pressure reading 130/83 for the first time in months yes. So I guess no Digicel for me...
It would be a downgrade to leave a perfectly working connection at 60mbps for $196 to switch to 25mbps for $200.

So wait you are saying it will start back again? but how? this package solved the issues spitfir had. He has not had a disconnect since then.

How long do you reckon I have before the disconnects start back?

mine was like that for about a year, never took it on. Yesterday i called flow cuz my speed isnt what i upgraded to (faulty connection from pole apparantly the rep said, tech to visit)...

he actually told me on the phone that the lights are amber and should be green, and this causes a bottleneck on the router. He reset it on their end and a couple mins after back to green

yeah if connected to a router it blinks amber all the time but if connected direct to a PC it blinks green all the time well thats how mine is.

All others however should be solid Green, you should do a hard reset with a pen on the button hidden away at the back of the modem.

Link is amber if you aren't using a gigabit capable router.

You tried unplugging it and plugging back in the power?

If you call Flow they will tell you the same exact thing, unplug power and see if it fixes it else just reset.

As long as you have the wired modem then resetting is 100% safe as those modems have absolutely 0 settings in them. If its WIFI or whatever then it might reset password and crap which could be annoying.

But I've been hearing from others around here that they suddenly have issues too

My CMTS is clearly blessed by Holy water cause I don't even know what a disconnect or a slow down is.
