Good luck bro. I quit in 1989 after smoking for 9 years. We didn't have all those scientific tools to help with quitting back then. It was all will power and mind over matter. To this day I still sometimes dream that I'm having a DuMaurier.

smoked for 25 years...started buying by the carton because it was cheaper.....got a serious cold and cough and simply couldn't draw it in.....was getting very very angry at that and on my way to work lit up at the habitual part of the drive, tried to smoke again and it not going down so I simply crushed that brand new whole pack and flung it out the window (I acknowledge that I littered and I'm very sorry... haven't done so since)....been smoke free since September 5th 2011.

I didn't get to such a drastic stage (cold cough thing) , but many eons ago when I smoked, I stopped one year for Lent and when I tried to start back I found that I simply couldn't.

cheaper option... tie a heavy duty rubberband on your hand.everytime you feel to smoke, pull it hard and release.It cured me, as ridiculous as it sounds
