Anyone know where i can get a decent electric projector screen about 65" across? Wifey and I am looking to remodel our bedroom and due to space constraints after the remodel, a ceiling mounted projector and screen would work much better than a TV. But we don't want anything too big, so thats why I'm thinking bout the 65" screen.

With 65" across it will mean than the diagonal screen size will be around 70" assuming its a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Most screens will start at 80" Diagonal. A Screen Innovations 80" Motorized 1 Series screen will be 76" across.

But before choosing a screen there are many variables that will play an important roll in choosing the right screen size and material. Some of these variable are : ambient light, color of ceiling, viewing distance, etc.

Please feel free to call us at 222-0724 to discuss further as we can make recommendations based on your needs.

Actually i am looking for about a 65" diagonal hd 16:9. If i can get a 70" that'll be ok.

Its meant to work with a short throw projector. Ambient light in the room is not too bright in the day and i can adjust it in the night.

What is the approximate price for a screen innovations 3 series, motorised, flush mount screen, 80", solar white? And can i get the screen with a smaller drop or is it standard at 24"?

The Screen Innovations 3 series flush mount 80" in solar white will cost between $ 20,000 - $22,000 depends on US shipping cost as this varies on every order. The wall mount controls allow you to adjust the stop position in turn shortening the black drop. Please note that this screen weighs 90 lbs so the appropriate mounting structure will need to be in place.

Also we honor all manufactures warranties with Screen Innovations products.

While I agree that Deftech are also great products that do sound good I don't agree with purchasing them from Amazon. I understand why people may go to Amazon as it is pretty easy and convenient, but it is not always the best bet.

For example I have attached a screen shot of estimated skybox charges for the Deftech items linked above and derived the following total:

Amazon price = $189 + 6% = $200.34 ( assuming you have free shipping )
USD to TT conversion = $200.34 x 6.5 =$1302.21 + $777.17 ( skybox charges ) = $ 2079.38
So a grand total to be just under $2100 each.

In reality you only saved $250 because as a dealer for Deftech we sell that speaker for $2350 with warranty and after sales support.

So is saving $250 worth it ?

I think $2350 is a very reasonable and fair price for a product with warranty and support, because it is easy enough to purchase from Amazon but in the event you need warranty or to return the item there is a 95% chance that you would cut your losses and look for another product, in turn costing a lot more than initially planned.

With that in mind the Bowers & Wilkins AM1 is only $2500 each which is an exception price considering USD retail is $300 and comes with warranty and support.

yup agreed. Even up to 3-5 years ago Kuro picture quality was still the ultimate you could actually buy.

But now there are considerably cheaper backlit LED TVs that show just as well. And well OLED is the future.

Nice to know... Probably a dumb question though, but what is the difference between being a Distributor vs a Dealer?

Btw... I'm sure i will contact you in due course.

Guys, called around the major suppliers looking for a pair of studio monitor stands, but most don't have, and those that do, have them at 3 times the cost of the speakers.
Does anyone know who supplies them at a reasonable price?
As a last resort, I may consider building a pair (don's want to cause they WILL come out uneven)

Thanks fellas.

Ahh ok, just check them out. You could also consider using some foam padding to place them on the desk,if you want to put them there that is.

Have a set of mackie cr4 & they came with said pads, so check it out, would be even cheaper than the stands.
