I still have a few places to check: Farfan, WHS, HomeMart. So hopefully, I can find either of the dewalts. If I can get the older one for around 3-3.5k, that would be awesome.

Fellas I'm looking for a trolley jack to buy. 3.5 ton capacity low profile preferably, any available with those specs locally? I checked out the ones in pricesmart and a couple parts places but im not sure of the build quality. Any particular brand worth the time and money? Thanks

I bought a el cheapo jack from allied, not low profile though but I believe they do have. Talking bout allied, went in the other day to buy some screw partition containers for $18, good quality btw from stanley and ended up walking out with a 245 piece stanley black chrome socket and hex set. :( I need to stop going here, money does done fass.

Anyone knows where I can get one of these locally? I bought one while abroad a few years back thats been working great, but the rubber on the bulb has just torn so it no longer works

Found one in Bhagwansings, but the rubber bulb was too thin and flimsy to work with any fluid heavier than water (unlike my old one which worked great with oil and tranny fluids).

I saw that in Peakes in Cocorite the one they have is for diesel fuel, its a primer pump actually. Never bought it but i used it in some standby generators to prime the fuel filters after a service works really good.

I have a few doors to install and of course builders don't do square door frames :???:

Jack plane ? I hate those with a passion, because of doors self. Like using a cutlass for an overgrown field.

Sent from my Neo4_5 using Tapatalk

Greg Smith, cheap, they stock all parts and their compressors are made by some big manufacturer though i cant remember which.

Bought one of mine locally though, Khanico. Puma 60 Gal single stage under $6.5k. Puma 80 Gal 2 stage was around $7.5k which was comparable to anything i could find online.
Installed 2 years ago and haven't touched it since except to drain the tank.

man those prices amazing, was thinking of ordering an ingersoll, but at those prices is bess i check out those fellas.

pro lift in allied and the ford racing in pricemart.
i have the ford and it works excellent . pro lift in a shop going in almost 3 years, no problems.

i jackup and use jackstands, i dont let the jack hold any strain for any extended period.

the bulb someone was asking about , yes boat stores, used in outboard engines. about 90 something dollars.

1i looked at the ones in pricesmart 3.5 ton low profile and they're just under $1000 which I dont find is a bad price, and then I started checking in the parts places and most of them have the same capacity but not low profile for around $1500 Performance Tools brand...

The OEM screw type jacks does work real good to change a flat on the side of the road problem with most people in this country is that they don't maintain the jack. A little oil on the threads and pivot points and bearing by where you put the handle in to turn, makes a REALLY HUGE difference in how the jack performs.

Boi all that jack needs is a lil lubricating, screw type jack does come in real handy, imagine ur hydraulic jack leak out,ur don't know until you get a fcuking flat in the middle of no help, buying it helps once you maintain it.

Dunno how big your budget is, so...
Hobby: eBay... 'New' prices were ridiculous. For $1375US (to my home) the 5hp, 80 gal. 2-stage Kellog was perfect.
fbf0_3.jpg

Commercial: Any of the better US tool-stores... Look for new "Name brands"... Quincy (QT-5), Ingersol-Rand etc.
Sanctifier wrote:BTW though my compressor does all that I ask, I still regret not buying a 7.5hp compressor instead of the smaller 5hp unit. IMHO your BEST option is to buy a good used unit... as well as an After-cooler... PLUS Refrigerated Air-Dryer.

Your tools will last forever... paint jobs will have less issues and maintenance is a breeze.

Nah, I meant too much effort to jack it up not maintain it.
Lucky for me I got my first flat with my pick up at home. Much to my surprise my bottle jack cant fit under it if has a flat. (didnt cater for that :fadein: )
Had to use the same screw jack and jack it up a bit, then slip in the bottle jack. So it did save me

The Ford racing one looks solid I had the older low profile 3 ton from them and it barely lasted a year tho so I'm weary. Although we also have a Goodyear set from psmart that's been cranking for 4 years without issue (not low profile tho)

yes it does matter : most homes does not have 3 phase

look at your wires coming into the house if you see 3 wires you have single phase of 110/230v
(some refer it as 2 phases.
If you have 4 wires coming in you will most likely have 3 phases

Ok, I found some Dewalt table saws locally, but none in the model I wanted.
Not surprisingly, the models I found here were the DWE7470 (~$4k) and a DW744 :| ($5.5k), which are latin american/old models.

Lol
Sold it today

Reason i want to go 20v is that the options for bare tools are much more

Eg: the 20v line carries a oscillating tool which i would like to get at some point.

Also the 3speed 20v impact driver is a nice piece.

Ripped a straight edge on some Purple Heart today 2x4 with a Freud ripping blade
Cut way better than the Freud combo blade before which would leave burn marks if not careful.

Looks lovely...Freud blades cut really nice, I have a few but my circ saws are not accurate enough for me.
FYI, I found a DWE7490X finally...$5400 at WHS, and they are offering a 10% cash discount, which works out cheaper than my seabox. I will however bring in my blades as usual.
WHS is also getting some different models next week, so I will finalize then.
