This is based on the parents socio-economic position, not everyone are in a financial situation to pay for private transport or have the job flexibility to be there to travel with children.

understood , I know this happens ,on the Diego martin route after dropping off passengers , it wasn't unusual to find a little kid in the maxi while locking up your glass by the waterwheel if or when you decide to take a break ,sometimes you find grown folks too:smile:AbstractPoetic wrote:megadoc1 wrote:I am of firm belief that up to now that Maxi driver aint have a clue that there was someone remaining in the vehicle .
You must have missed the part where the driver took a different route on route to the final destination. In all instances where I was a maxi passenger, the driver always looked at the backseats to see if any passenger(s) remained. For him to not do this while changing direction would move anyone, myself included, to find an escape route.

It's unfortunate what happened....people need to be more aware and vigilant....don't take anything for granted....always be aware of everything around u ....
Pick ah struggle. It can't be both.If you don't have the money to pay for private transport then pick up your child. If you can't pick them up due to job flexibilty, then pay a van/car.If you eh have no money and no time from work, then don't have children until you in ah better position. How could you let your 9 year old travel alone? What kind of parent is that to start with?Look last week I travelling from POS to Chaguanas and it have ah little girl on de stand waiting for a car to go San Fernando. The girl looks like she in pre-school still. The average size jansport bag is about 3/4 her size. She just stand up there and everybody just rushing past her and then ah lady come and ask her where she going and the little girl talking so soft de lady hadda bend down for she to talk in she ear.j.o.e wrote:kjaglal76v2 wrote:never understand why parents allowed these lil kids to travel alone
