Up to a few hours ago I thought the Sorento was the mid-size king. Indeed a very nice SUV. Then I was introduced to the 2016 Toyota Fortuner. Dem contractor raj south of grand bazaar will go crazy over that Toyota.

Compliments of the season guys, haven't been on in a while and noticed the conversation leaning towards lower vehicle prices and suv's. Lifestyle motors I've heard has a good reputation for after sales service so anyone in here have any experiences with the Jeep line? particularly the Compass? Saw it the other morning on my way to work and i was impressed...it looks around the size of a tucson and not bad looking either if maybe a little pricey...

American cars never appealed to me, plus they harder to resell than euro's and parts and mechanics hard to come by.

^^^then you should drive a b14/almera

if people have money to buy Jeep locally then I don't think outside mechanic and resale value gonna be decision factors in their heads. IIRC, the smaller Jeep here was like $650k and it has a 2.4 n/a motor? Not me nah.

So what's the Jeep compass, is it not an SUV?

What's up guys was looking at one or two reviews in terms of the compass and they're not that flattering, but the price of it is around 330 k.

jeep

ill just leave this here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sVmoOZRypk

Wrt the Compass, it's basically a glorified crossover. I have some first hand experience with one. My cousin is the owner of a 2012/13 compass in the usa (bought brand new).He has the awd cvt with the 2.4L.

PROS: It drives decent enough, comfortable, has decent space for 5 people. The rear seat is a bit cramped, but does its job. AWD does a good job in the snow and has decent ground clearance. It looks like a baby grand Cherokee. Nice audio system.

CONS: cvt is noisy and annoying, terrible acceleration, returns about 23mpg according to the trip computer, feels a bit 'obzocky' from the drivers seat, had some electrical issues within the first year of ownership (ECU died within 7 months),cheap feeling interior (the Tucson of the same year has a much nicer interior). The front brakes also failed in the first year of ownership and had to be replaced by the dealer.

For 330k I'm sure there are better options available locally. That's just my opinion from my experiences.

the vehicle

the basic has most features of a 'fully loaded'; iirc this is what it comes with; alloys, fogs, paddle shifters (not cvt), fancy radio, power windows, airbags, fabric interior, digital ac, i believe reverse sensors, halogen headlamps and no DRLs.

Sounds like it could be a good deal, comparable to the creta? Is there a higher trim with reverse camera and stuff?
