This would be a very speculative piece of evidence though. As there is no requirement (that I know off) for the election officers to do this we can't be sure it was done and for all constituencies.

Actually I think PNM would love for there to be a by-election in those 6 six seats. Especially after a gruelling UNC internal election campaign that to the dismay of the nation Kamla will win. UNC losing again in these 6 seats would not only be the final nail in the casket of the UNC, but it will be the final shovel throw on the mound of dirt covering them.

Does the UNC even remotely realise what they're doing if they even WIN this case?
6 by-elections?

Do they honestly believe it will swing the other way by doing this? Is this a serious tactic of KPB??

How is this possible when the same act says its illegal to ask people who they voted for?????

maybe the PNM would have won more seats if the polls closed at 6.

so how can they know who voted for who? even in normal time, they would not start the count until every person inside the room has voted, and even then it will be secret til the ballot box is open. police is there for a reason..

Kams has spurious logic, and i'm surprised the political science people at UWI aren't setting this straight. no way to know who or what is ahead at 6pm.

Even if the polls weren't extended, the PNM would have still won.

^ ^ ^ THIS!!!
Looks like the UNC is trying to steal the "Jackass of the Year" Certificate from Shoppin-Toppin.

After the squandermania & corruption revealed in the Budget debate.... plus the current UNC infighting, maybe the PM should call a snap General Election to gain a constitutional majority in Parliament once and for all.

Even better chance now to recapture Mayaro, Point a Pierre and San Juan... maybe even St Augustine (poor Prakash, first NO COP... now NO SEAT!) 8-)

Instead of begging Rowley "fuh ah wuk" as Commonwealth Secretary General, Garvin Nicholas should form a new law firm with Prakash... to represent the UNC and other LOSERS!

The thing is even if it was illegal, ALL parties would have been affected by it the same way.

All these points you guys raising... Common sense can tell you this.
The mere fact that the UNC is bringing this forward shows they think their base are IDIOTS...
It's insulting is what it is.

yuh asking us to delve into assness?????

What is the CAUSAL relationship between the chronological order that voting occurred and the sequence in which the votes are counted.
Is there a documented detailed process in which the boxes are stored during the day, loaded onto transport, offloaded stored, opened, counted, audited and then reported?

So in Sando west I want to be GUARANTEED that ALL votes cast at 9:36 am are: stored during the day, loaded onto transport, offloaded stored, opened, counted, audited and then reported before all of those cast at 9:37.

The UNC case is predicated on the above.

assness

U can't fight that sort of thing. U will always lose. Generations from now it will be recalled as "that time ebc and the PNM stole the elections". Letters to the editor, radio talk shows and television broadcasts. The full works.

I have...I think the EBC made an error.

I still hit the wall because the case is based on KNOWING to the single vote how the votes were CAST.
So the UNC has to show a causal relationship between party allegiance, and time they vote, and factor in how the swing voters time their vote.

the people on face book are looking at the reporting and feel that that is indicative of the sequence of how votes were cast.

So arriving at the wall happens before I immerse meh self....i barely have to dip meh big toe.

having immersed yourself...what you getting?

A UNC supporter is more than likely to sacrifice his/her life for the political leader than a PNM supporter.

The ballot paper right. It's folded so when it's placed in the ballot box it falls flat. As more ballots are placed in the box, the ballots as stacked vertically. Ballot paper has a relatively higher friction co-efficient than regular paper so there isn't any failure of these stacks.
Now when ebc counts the ballots, they invert these stacks (FIFO) and begin the tally.
Therefore, therefore...the results on election night reflected the distribution of the votes based on two time periods; 6-6 and 6-7.
Feel I hadda draw dis out yes

The EBC extended the times (at the last minute), so that the illegal PNM ballots can be distributed without much police interference ... As they would've been preoccupied helping confused voters during the extra window.
The extra window of time presented a mini confusion situation where the authorities would be distracted.

Then masked as Marios (Syrian connection) delivery guys the extra illegal ballots where then stuffed into the ballet boxes. To conceal their intentions the delivery guys upon arrival would distract the voters already in the polling room "AYE WAIS DAT" pointing towards the sky... Allowing the polling officers enough time to stuff the 500+ per box needed to bring home the marginals.
