Juve's long search for a long term left back is over with the signing of Alex Sandro from Porto. This will be the man to replace Evra in the long term and well, fight for a starting spot in the short term.

New Juventus signing Alex Sandro revealed it was a ‘dream come true’ to join the Bianconeri.

Speaking at his first full press conference, the new €26m signing expressed his happiness at finally being unveiled as a Juve player and expressed his desire to bring success to the club.

“One of my most important attributes is that I’m someone who always wants to win,” the Brazilian told the media.

“I’ll give 100 per cent to win, always looking to defend and attack well. I’ll try to show my quality during training and during games.

“What brought me to Juve was that this has always been my dream, it’s always been my desire to play for Juventus. This is a dream come true for me.

“Being at Juventus Stadium? It was a spectacular feeling, fantastic. It’s something that all players would like to experience.

“Unfortunately we lost yesterday, but we played well and we paid for a mistake.”

Turning his attention to next weekends clash against Roma, the new full-back revealed he is ready to feature.

“I’m sure the game against Roma will be difficult. It’s a ‘clasico’, and they’re always hard. I’m ready to play, I’m feeling better every day, more confident and more in tune with the team.

“I’m ready for Roma.

“I’ve always followed the Italian League, it’s a very difficult League. It’s the most tactical division in the world.

“I’m sure it will help me a lot in my career, it will mould my style of play. I know I can grow up in Italian football, and I know that Juventus will support me in doing that.

“Roberto Carlos, and Evra who is here at Juve are the players who have most inspired me. I imitated them, and I’ll continue to do that.

“It’s true, after Porto were knocked out I was always cheering for Juventus.”

Big losses, I agree. However, Juve has kept their spine in (Buffon, Bonucci, Chillini, Barzagli, Lichsteiner and Marchisio), and brought in Mandzukic, Khedira, Dybala, Alex Sandro, Cuadrado and Zaza, who are all quality replacements.

Mandzukic and Khedira are proven champions, having won the Champions League and World Cup with valuable contributions all within the past 3 seasons. Dybala, Alex Sandro, Cuadrado and Zaza all have huge potential and youth on their side.

Transition taking place. With everybody fit (Khedira, Morata, Marchisio), this will remain a very competitive side.

Juventus have been drawn in Group D for the group stages of the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League. They will face Sevilla, Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach. Very tough group.

Yea bai :|
bess freekick though. Not much at all better keepers than Buffon so I dunno if any keeper at all could have saved that. Remind me of Pirlo.

I giving the team until about round 5/6 to really gel and start to play like the team they are. For the time being we hadda scrape points in rounds 3/4/5 against them weaker teams. If by round 6 that team eh gel then is time to panic.

The midfielder pens a three-year deal with the Bianconeri after agreeing terms on a permanent switch from Inter Milan

Juventus Football Club can this evening confirm that an agreement has been reached with Inter Milan for the purchase of Anderson Hernanes for a fee of €11 million, payable in three financial years.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Sami Khedira will make his Bianconeri debut against Sevilla on Wednesday night, while Stephan Lichtsteiner will miss out due to ongoing health concerns.

The German midfielder has yet to appear for Juve in a competitive match since tearing his rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh during a preseason friendly against Marseille at the start of August. He was ruled out for two months, but is expected to return a few days earlier in a timely boost for Allegri.

"Sami Khedira's not played for a long time, but he's playing tomorrow," said the Juve coach at a news conference in Turin.

"He's often made a good debut, so let's hope he will do that again. He's ready for this game. He's a top international player.

"I don't know if he can last an hour or even more, but he's going to play."

Juventus 3-1 Bologna: Khedira opens Bianconeri account

The midfielder scored his side's third of the afternoon after Alvaro Morata and Pablo Dybala had also found the back of the net
Sami Khedira scored his first goal for Juventus as they cruised to a 3-1 win over Bologna.

The visitors took a shock early lead through Anthony Mounier, but posed virtually no attacking threat from that point onwards. Alvaro Morata headed in an equaliser prior to half-time and won a penalty after the break, which was converted by Paulo Dybala.

The forward then set up his former Real Madrid team-mate Khedira, who headed home on his league debut.

It was a vital win for Massimiliano Allegri's men, who had won only one of their opening six Serie A games having claimed the title for four straight seasons, while Bologna have lost six of their seven matches.

The opener came in the fifth minute when Adam Masina sent in a cross from deep with his left foot and Mounier beat the offside trap to fire a powerful volley in at goal. The shot was straight at Gianluigi Buffon, but he was unable to prevent the ball from crossing the line.

Juve had lined up with an unchanged team after their Champions League win over Sevilla and they attempted to respond when a fast-paced move culminated in Dybala finding Morata, who was just off target with a left-foot snapshot.

Paul Pogba forced Antonio Mirante into a save before the equaliser arrived in the 33rd minute. Khedira made ground down the right, his cross deflected invitingly into the path of Morata and the striker converted with an easy close-range header - his first league goal of the campaign.

Morata had a golden opportunity to net a second in the opening minute of the second half, but he poorly sliced his shot wide after being set up by Juan Cuadrado.

The former Real Madrid striker was involved again moments later as he won a penalty after he was hauled down by Alex Ferrari in the box, with referee Domenico Celi pointing to the spot despite furious protests from the visitors.

It was his strike partner Dybala who stepped up and confidently sent Mirante the wrong way with his penalty.

Juve were in total control and Morata forced Mirante to tip his shot over the bar having found space in the box following Khedira's pass.

The third goal was coming and it duly arrived after 63 minutes. Morata delivered an accurate delivery from the left channel and Khedira planted a firm header back across goal and into the corner.

Pogba shot just over with a late free-kick attempt as Bologna were unable to provide anything by way of a response. Indeed, the early goal was their only shot on target.

For all who was wondering of the status of Pogba and Morata.....

Juventus duo Paul Pogba and Alvaro Morata could face Inter despite injuries

Image

Paul Pogba and Alvaro Morata could both play for Juventus when they visit Inter Milan at the weekend, despite picking up injuries while away on international duty.

France midfielder Pogba picked up an ankle injury and missed his side's friendlies, while Spain forward Morata suffered a blow to the leg in the win over Luxembourg.

Morata was sent to Turin for tests amid fears he could have fractured his leg, but a statement on the official Juventus website said he had only suffered bruising.

"The striker's condition will continue to be monitored over the coming days in order to assess the best course of action for his return to training," the statement said.

Morata, writing on Twitter, said: "It's not going to be a month [out], nor four. I'm working hard to be back at my best for Sunday."

Ni un mes ni cuatro... Trabajando a tope para estar listo el domingo!!! #FinoAllaFine #ForzaJuve pic.twitter.com/n0W8uW9VqQ
- Álvaro Morata (@AlvaroMorata) October 10, 2015

The news is a boost for Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri, who may now be able to field his strongest team to face Inter as they continue to recover from a tough start to the season.
