They come with a fiber optic bundle (of varying thicknesses to give the effect of depth) and a light engine, basically you drill tiny holes through your ceiling an string the ends of the fibers through securing them with glue, after the ceiling is painted you just clip of the end to expose the bare fiber.
The photos I posted don't give a true view of it because of the camera in night mode.

That's my bracing...2 full side 1/2" mdf sheets across the entire side to make it more than 1" thick... Gorilla glue again so it can foam and fuse together...

I spent about 3 hours every evening for about 4 day to complete it.
I had to mark and drill the gypsum sheets on the ground, set the fibers in place and then bundle them into individual groups do so I could pass them over each furring channel, when they applied the joint compound and sanded the ceiling alot of the fibers broke off and I had to pull them through with a fine bird beak pliers.
Alot of work but awesome end results.

Nice results after all that hard work. I must say that once we put alot of our effort into a HT project, the enjoyment factor is that much more than if it was done for us... Waddaya say dere chiney?

Sub fits nicely after PLENTY of measuring and router passes, it is actually a 16" sub not a 15" so i had a bit of a miscalculation when designing the box.. all sorted out now though.

Finished 2nd coat tonight and we'll I'm leaving it a comeplete 24hrs to cure. I notice a spot I jammed and it peeled clean off the primer.. Drying times are very important. I will do their 24hrs recommendation and up them a few more for safety.

I got it at FT Farfan at a great price.

I painted metal doors, wooden doors, and metal railings with it and it takes weather well. Water based makes it easy clean up. Finish is like oil paint.

very easy on the gloss finishes, not so much on the matte finishes - as expected with any paint.

This yellow door was done with the semi gloss Painter's Touch from FT Farfan almost 2 years now and it has not faded and is easy to clean - the door is for the laundry room and gets daily use sliding back and forth and occasional bumps with clothes baskets.

the bottom only has a small pin roller that slots into the middle of the bottom of the door and screws into the floor on the left side of the door frame. That pin is all that is needed at the bottom, so there is no track at the bottom.

You can buy a door locally or have one made. i wanted an old style door to contrast with the modern design, so i made the door like those old Z shaped doors.

Very nice! I learnt the hard way that it's best to move one speaker at a time. Moving 2 at a time and making them jam up makes your hard work useless. U bounce everything on the way through doors n shiz. Lol
