I'm running a set of Megan coilovers on my Toyota. This is my first set of coil overs. Prior to this I would use lowering springs. All I can say is that I will never go back to lowering springs again. Lowering springs may be may be cheaper, but the coilovers are better performers in every aspect I.e., comfort, ride quality, performance, looks and adjustability.

Its all find and good till a coilover burst. Very view carries inserts. Some needs to be shipped back to manufacturer for rebuild which usually cost the same as a new set.

For daily I'll stick with lowering springs with aftermarket shocks

quoted for the truth....

lowering springs may be cheaper but coilovers outperform them
rebuilding coilovers r expensive and as rightfully stated they cost almost as much as a new set.

Tien streetflex for a year now. previously stock evo shocks and springs.

Tiens much more comfortable. Much more controlled. I do find they get a little "overwhelmed" over a series of sips on the highway, but nothing terrible. Yet to try them in Dex, but hopefully soon. Much less body roll. Much more adjustability. Seems to be taking jamming so far.

Couple funny noises.

1) When they are dirty, like from a drive down la romain where they building the highway, they creak when braking. Dust between the coils.

2) They "hiss" when you go over a speen bump and the gas decompresses.

Other than that, quite nice.

Last I checked was sjr imports in debe stretch.

Hearing and reading good reviews on Tien but they pricey. You get what you pay for I guess.

I have cusco vacanza (lowest setting) on my car and it works good. Used to have megan springs of tokico gas struts b4 but replacing shocks yrly wasnt cutting it. Its an all round type of coilover...balance of comfort and performance.
