Earth quake in Port of Spain 16/7/15 @ approx. 11:19 am

this morning at 7am there was a 5.7 and this one at 11:15am was a 6.4 - same spot off Barbados

yesterday there was one about 1.5ºN of that location off of Martnique

Six earthquakes were reported across the Caribbean this morning. According to the UWI Seismic Research Centre, the earthquakes occurred north-east of Barbados at 07:01am, 7:52am, 11:16am, 11:29am, 11:36am and 12:23pm local time. 13 earthquakes recorded in less than 24 hours

Two more earthquakes have been recorded near Barbados.

According to the UWI Seismic Research Centre’s face-book page, the first was at 12:01 this morning at a magnitude of 4.0 at a depth of 10 kilometres.

Then at 3:44am, a 3.8 magnitude was recorded at 119 kilometres north-east of Bridgetown.

This makes it 13 tremors in less than 24 hours with the strongest, a 6.4 magnitude, being felt in parts of Trinidad and Tobago as well as Guyana.

Shouldn't have laughed at Sister Devi....didn't she predict a big earthquake soon??

it could have been the 6.4 she was talking about - then again i eh fell nothing so d big one still to come? :roll: :shock:

I wonder how they count 13!? I've looked at https://www.facebook.com/uwiseismic and I count 11 earthquakes from 16th July up to current time, 7:27am on 18th July, 2015.
