I noticed the speed increase a while now, but i didn't say much due to the fact that the few ppl i asked had no increase. I figured they got fed up of me calling them so they used me as a test to see how well the increase would work in the area hahah.

I Noticed i was downloading Usenet @8.7mbps and I could live-stream @1080p, 60fps
It's nice to be able to have net similar to a first world country but i don't necessarily need all this speed.

As this is a Turbo 50 package that as been upgraded, what speed does the Turbo 30 now offer?

Area - Rio Claro

How much did the 2mbps package raise by?

Does anyone know? I rebooted and got 15mb on my flow connection. But 15 is a bit of a waste to me, I may downgrade if the 2Mb went up by double. If anyone has information feel free to post here.

Let's assume the average household has a budget of 200-250 for internet per month.

200TT VAT Inclusive for 15MB down from FLOW. Approx $13 per MB. Not too bad imo.

Now comparing with the only other wired provider Blink (Digicel haven't taken on residential customers yet)

230TT VAT Inclusive for the Blink 2MB down. That's $115 per MB.

How on earth is Blink Broadband still surviving with these prices? When Digicel comes on board it will make things even worse.

Because blink internet is dedicated internet. The technologies used to provide the services are different. Pay for 10mb with blink, you're going to get 10mb. Your flow bandwidth fluctuates based on the usage in the neighbourhood. I only see 75mbps speeds at 2am in Belmont area. Outside of that, it's anywhere between 27-40.

My 1mb blink used to max out at 200kb.
My turbo 10 package does max out at 1mb. With the recent upgrade. 2mb.

I used to pay 180ish from blink and 170 from flow. .

So almost 5 times the speed for the same money.

I used to play extra for wireless from tstt. Now flow have that standard.

Flow does have service breakdown regular tho.

Anyone here does or knows that if a Flow internet connection could work with a Blink Entertainment package?
