Thanks DB , always good to know good tackle shops. Sometimes its difficult to spin in mankees when u on the way to a fishing trip and strapped for time so this will be handy.

BTW i have always dealt with mankee and not the other reps , mankee always has great advice and knows his stuff. Plus his discounts are awesome

^^^ Mankee's family in the fishing business for over 20 years, they start right across the road from where they are now. His main market is actually commercial fishermen, but he is very knowledgeable and helpful to everybody.

Reel Tackle caters to a different upscale clientele, they very helpful, but imo their stuff is a little more high end, like Shimano etc.

I fish a lil bit friday evening in Coast Guard Staubles, really was for my kids. They had plenty action pulling in small jacks on them kiddie combo rod and reels, some fellas were catching carangrass too. After dark the cutlass show up. Didn't see anybody pull any reds though.

Was in CG thursday and guy pulled up what seemed to be a 30-35inch salmon , a FAT SLOP!!! on low tide , running sinker w dead bait.

meanwhile everyone else caught small reds and cutlass ...that lucky mofo lol

I went to try my hand on tarpon for the first time , a few hooked up but kept spitting the hook.
