Appalling and downright insulting! John Oliver, celebrated British funnyman, on our local television parodying, not necessarily Jack Warner, but Trinidadians on the whole.

Well, Mr Oliver, we don’t hate Mr Warner as much as we hate the gross atrocities associated with British colonialism and the slave and indenture masters.

Ironic though, the name Costas Takkas, the United Kingdom national indicted in the FIFA scandal, was not mentioned in Mr Oliver’s tasteless satire. Another example of British colonial mentality at play, and people like Mr Oliver’s misguided perception of Third World inhabitants.

The joke’s on him. We don’t swing on trees and no longer answer to whips and chains.

Next time TV6 wants to make fun of us, how about hiring one of our own comics.

This affair wouldn't be complete without some kant ranting about slavery and swinging on trees. Every time a white man criticizes something done by a black man, the black man always has the fallback option of bringing up some fcukery about slavery. FIFA's director of communications and public affairs Walter De Gregorio resigned on Thursday, three days after telling a joke about world football's governing body on a TV talk show.

On Monday, De Gregorio was a guest of host Roger Schawinski on German-language station SRF. Schawinski closed the show by asking De Gregorio to tell his favourite joke about FIFA.

De Gregorio set up the punchline by asking who was driving if himself, FIFA president Sepp Blatter and secretary general Jerome Valcke were in a car.

After a pause for the host to comment, De Gregorio gave the answer:

"The police."
